I stayed here on a short business trip on my way to Stoke as the good pub guide and tripadvisor came up with nothing between Tamworth and Stoke. At £50 a night B&B and £9 for dinner I should probably not have expected much and I would have been satisfied. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the pub itself... More

Stayed here overnight 21/22 February 2015. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, and I liked the attention to detail, e.g. spare soap, toilet rolls etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the room overlooking the roundabout, and I would suggest that double glazing the windows would go a long way towards reducing the noise at... More

Rooms are clean and comfy, we where at the back near the car park which can be a bit noisy as well as it is situated on a busy roundabout. I found it is mostly construction workers who stay here and not really orientated for families as the bar and eating facilities isnt the friendliest atmosphere. The food is average... More

I have stayed here several times and always have a good experience. Rooms are warm, clean, and every room I have been given has been more than adequate. I always eat in the bar area and find the food very acceptable and again good value for money. When you are asked to pay less than most establishments please don't expect 5 star... More

On arrival our baby boy was unwell and we had to leave pretty much straight away. The manager was lovely and sympathetic and said that, upon talking to the owner, he would get the payment through the booking agency cancelled. The money went out anyway so I contacted the owner and asked if this would be refunded, even partially. Her... More

Stayed here on the 22/11/14 and was very impressed with the pub and the accommodation, the rooms were clean and modern with a good en suite. All the staff are friendly and the pub had a nice relaxed atmosphere, the breakfast was nice and lots of fresh coffee. The pub is literally 5 mins from the Town centre, I would... More

On a visit to the area for a birthday party there were several rooms booked for guests of the party ... I was staying in a twin room with a friend and were greeted by a friendly chap who I think was the owner he showed us where breakfast was to be served and showed us all the facilities in... More

Stayed here just for one night with my 12 year old daughter between visiting Twycross zoo and Tamworth Castle, as it was such a short stay I wasn't too worried about the accommodation, however, I was pleasantly surprised! The bar was very busy, full of locals (always a good sign) but there was plenty of seating in the form of... More

We were a party of 14 and from booking to leaving and beyond the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had the majority of the rooms round the courtyard, which was great as within our party we had 4 under 6's, this meant that we could spend a lot if the time being sociable whilst the children were able...
