We stayed for 4 nights as a base to visit my family, the room was fine and clean and we had plenty of clean towels. I requested a hair dryer and iron and ironing board which were immediately bought to the room. Bed was clean and comfy and staff were very accommodating. Cheap and cheerful and very good value for... Although it was a bit tricky to get into from the direction we approached it from, once found, it proved to be a very tidy little hotel, with friendly helpful staff and a quite large room with a brilliant bed. Only 2 minutes walk to the town centre and a spectacular Wetherspoons renovation of an old cinema.

Spent one night on business. Internet was so slow that it could not even run a test for the engineer. Woken at 5am by car alarm in car park; found my car paintwork damaged. Shower in bathroom didn't work (so loose it was obviously not the first time). Corridors have a stale smell. No refund; just a voucher but I... More

We recently spent one night at the Travelodge for a wedding in the area. Check in and check out was swift and friendly with no problems. The room was a good size and freshly decorated with new curtains and a nice view over the pond with lots of geese. The bathroom was an adequate size and everything was very clean.... More

We stayed here as my son was in a sailing competition close by. The room was fine, clean and tidy. There was a little noise at night, not too much. A shame there is not a cafe for breakfast. The Burger King next door does not open until 10 am.

Stayed in room 25, facing the pond, and it was a lovely view. Liked the ducks quacking and there were not too noisy. However, bathroom was dirty, especially sink and bathroom needed refurbishment, new suite required. The carpet was dirty and needed replacing. Lack of towels provided for a family room, was only provided with one bath towel and one... More

We are pleased to learn you enjoyed the view in room 25, it is however regrettable that you found that your room was not up to our high expectations of cleanliness. It is also important to us that our rooms are set up with the right amount of towels for the occupants in a room. We would like to investigate... More

Stayed in ground floor room #14 - family room - 3 nights.Used travelodge as a base to go to alton towers. Incidentally, it was cheaper to buy the alton towers tickets and accommodation separately rather than booking all as a package which overall saved me at least £150 Staff friendly and very helpful. My children loved the room set up... More

Staff very friendly & helpful, anything we needed-extra coffee,towels-we just asked & got it. New bed in this refurbished room nice but single not so comfortable. Fixed showerhead disappointing, would prefer a handheld & more water pressure, but it was hot.Floors not very clean, mess (not ours) under bed.Go quickly through the entrance as the staff all seem to take their...
