Ideal Travelodge in this area .We have stayed in this Travelodge many times and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them Small park at rear of hotel with playground for children.

Stayed in ground floor room #14 - family room - 3 nights.Used travelodge as a base to go to alton towers. Incidentally, it was cheaper to buy the alton towers tickets and accommodation separately rather than booking all as a package which overall saved me at least £150 Staff friendly and very helpful. My children loved the room set up... More

Staff very friendly & helpful, anything we needed-extra coffee,towels-we just asked & got it. New bed in this refurbished room nice but single not so comfortable. Fixed showerhead disappointing, would prefer a handheld & more water pressure, but it was hot.Floors not very clean, mess (not ours) under bed.Go quickly through the entrance as the staff all seem to take their... Recently spent three nights at Rugeley Travelodge. Rooms very clean and comfortable.Bathroom apart from some mildew which could easily be removed, very clean.Had a room on the side of the building ,overlooking park, which was quiet and we had no problems with ducks and swans. The only disappointment was the town of Rugeley itself. Big Power Station in the middle of the town,at... More

We arrived after a long day at Alton Towers and a very early morning start. We were given our room key quickly and found our room, ground floor by the rear entrance to Burger King! The room is very basic, king bed, chair and settee which doubles as a bed. The bedding on the bed settee was also stained. The... More

Is close to theme parks so that's handy. It was a very basic room which looked old and "tired" apart from the new curtains which took some pulling to close. Not impressed that we had to request new clean bedding after noticing our quilt was well stained! The hotel has a first floor so if like us you were on... More

We stayed at this travelodge for 1 night as a stop over. We was worried as know it is by a fuel station and Burger King. We didn't hear any noises from either and slept very well. The mattress to the room was perfect and the room was clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel for a short stop.

very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff who sorted out any issues we had very quickly. its close enough to alton towers to get there in about 45 mins and I would recommend this hotel instead of the alton resort hotel after staying in both for value for money I would stay here again

Normally I wouldn't bother reviewing a Travelodge because you know that you are going to get, pretty good value albeit basic a bit like a McDonald's or a KFC. This one really isn't up to the mark at all as far as cleanliness goes. Stains on the desk in the room, stains on the carpet, litter from the previous guests... More

The location of the hotel was the reason we chose this Travel Lodge. We have stayed there before but it was a long, long time ago. The room was as expected for the money we paid. However, the cleanliness of both the room and the bedroom left nothing to the imagination. I will say no more on that subject other... More
