Went to Dun Cow on Saturday with all the family for 45th wedding anniversary had a great time, Thanks to Christian & Georgina the food & hospitality could not have been better and all 5 of the kids loved it and that takes some doing. Must be one of the best pub/restaurants in the Midlands and recommend to anyone to... More

We, the wife and I were more than pleased with our meal which was off the set menu and included three courses. The soup starter was the tastiest mushroom soup I've had in a long time and the main course was superb, congrats to the chef and with great difficulty we tucked away a pudding and managed coffee also, we... Can't say much about the hotel, however we went here for food and were very underwhelmed, food was basic and bland and very overpriced, restaurant was lacking atmosphere and the service was lacklustre, won't be visiting again

I cant tell you how gutted i am to get your poor review. I am a profesional chef/proprietor and toil endlessly to prepare quality food for my customers as you will see by our reviews this is rearly the only bad one that i have received. I even wonder if you are talking about the right place. My food is... More

Had a Sunday lunch with family, lovely gravy and Yorkshire pudding spoilt by salad potatoes with their skins left on. Fabulous puddings, mediocre slightly boring starter and price for what you get is high. And the drinks are expensive

Super food nice accomodations pleasant staff. All spoilt by a very cold room and the comment made by what I presume was the proprietor.Whilst paying a member of staff for our stay I commented that the room was freezing cold when we returned at 1am,she in turn mentioned our comment to a man who I presume was the owner. His comment... We use Ye Olde Dun Cow as a regular venue for our post-shoot dinner, usually for 10 people. This week we were a total of 14. We also chose to host a guest in the hotel prior to the shoot, dining with them the evening before. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish! The accommodation for our guest... More

Stayed at the Ye Olde Dun Cow last week for the fourth time. We keep going back as the food and staff are fantastic, and this stay was no exception. Food was up to the usual standard and we received a fabulous welcome from the bar manager (sorry didn't catch her name) who not only saw to all our needs... More

Me and my fiance stayed here after a trip to Alton Towers. We were greeted by the manager in a warm friendly manner, the room was beautiful and very clean. So comfortable. We had an evening meal and its some of the best food i have ever eaten. I would gladly stay again. Loved it

Have visited twice now with my husband and on both occasions eaten from the early bird menu which is excellent value. The food here is delicious and the service is very friendly but professional. We will defiantly return.
