After driving past on a number of occasion en route to Bridgemere, we decided to stop for lunch. Cosy atmosphere with log burners and fires. A very reasonable lunch and children's menu. The staff all seemed helpful, friendly and tolerant of the children. And to get my 5/5...the baby change facilities. A sweetly decorated separate room with wipes and nappies... More

We stopped at The Wheatsheaf at the last minute for lunch. Well, what a good decision, I had chicken stuffed with spinach and mushrooms with a lovely plate of veg and new potatoes. My husband had fish and chips, the batter was delicious. Cannot fault the meal. The staff were efficient and friendly, and we would love to stay here... More

I stayed here with my partner and had a lovely time. We ate the most fantastic, great tasting food by the fabulous cosy open fire. The staff were lovely and pleasant and made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely, clean and very comforting in a converted stable and had lovely features such as a high pointed ceiling and... More

We will go out of our way to return to this Inn. Great food, clean rooms with everything you need and best of all are the very friendly staff. The Inn has 4 rooms out of the main building, called the mews rooms that are great for people who travel with their dogs.

I stayed here last weekend with my partner and our dog and from the moment we stepped into the bar we were made to feel like we had been locals for years. The food was excellent and the rooms were clean and tidy. We will be heading back and would highly recommend..

Very relaxed atmosphere to lounge around and read the sunday papers. The young lad who is the chef / carvery server is a real credit and deserves special mention as he is so keen and enthusiastic to talk about food - His food. Excellent hearty stuff on the carvery that is very good value for money as well. Fully recommended.

Just had a lovely weekend, mews room lovely, very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly, food excellent. Will stay again and would highly recommend. We attended a wedding nearby and were taken and picked up by Paul in the Wheatsheaf minibus - nothing was too much trouble.
