Others have described this wonderful Guest House very well here, so I have no need to go into great detail. I found Prospect House to be comfortable, welcoming and an enjoyable place to stay and was very pleased to have stayed here recently after a personal recommendation from friends.

I am not one to write reviews ever but having just spent one night at Prospect House my fiancée and I felt compelled to write our very first review!! Rolf & Jackie were excellent at responding to our initial requests via email and were very accommodating of these requests. There was ample parking on our arrival and Rolf made us... More

We strongly recommend Prospect House B&B and our hosts, Rolf and Jackie Griffiths, as one of the finest examples of how an excellent B&B Guest House should be run. Warm and friendly, thoroughly professional and helpful, they responded positively to our initial request and a couple of additional requests to changed circumstances that were outside our control but which they... I chose this B&B for its excellent reviews and i wasnt disappointed. The B&B is totally hidden although its on a main road! We had an excellent welcome from the owner . Our room was delightful and quirky ...full of beams and small steps ... although not suitable for elderley or disabled people. We loved it and it had everything... More

We stayed for one night because we were attending a party in the area. It's a wonderful place and the accommodation is separate from the main house in a self-contained building. The room was attractive and spacious, also very clean. The owners, Rolf and Jackie are wonderful and couldn't have done more. The breakfast was marvellous. We would definitely stay... More

We stayed here whilst visiting The Churnet Valley Railway, and it didn't disappoint. Our room was spotless spacious and very quiet.pleny of tea and coffee making facilities provided and topped up. The owners are very welcoming. The breakfasts are individually cooked to order with plenty of choice. A car is advisable as the village and pubs are about a mile... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights as were invited to a wedding on the Churnet Valley Line. The country round here is delightful and steeped in industrial history. Pubs etc are a mile away down in the village via the busy A520 although there is a back route down Ostlers L. that is more pleasant. Its a sharp... More

We have stayed here many many times over the years and it's always consistently very enjoyable and a comfortable stay. Rolf and Jackie are the perfect hosts, the rooms are well equipped. Breakfast is always tasty and it's ideally situated for exploring the Peak District and surrounding towns. Highly recommend

We stayed in Room 4 of the annex and found it to be very comfortable. The bed was just too good to get out of! Nice hot electric en suite shower. All the trimmings you'd expect. Most important of all - fantastic freshly cooked breakfast. The whole experience rounded off by a lovely couple, Rolf and Jackie. I'd happily award... More
