While visiting Rudyard Lake and the surrounding area we called in for the lunch-time carvery. I could only say that it was reasonable, both in price and in quality. The meat was decent, but we had to queue up to be served it. The vegetables were very variable some overcooked and some undercooked. Service was not bad, but a bit... More

We had booked our wedding a while ago and were concerned that the hotel had gone into Receivership at the end of July 2014. Our concerns were unnecessary - the day was amazing. Our ceremony and evening reception were at the hotel and the new Manager was the most helpful and organised chap and the staff couldn't do enough to... More

I recently attended a wedding reception here and although the hotel is a bit dated decor wise the staff and the food were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and the portions were generous...the rooms are adequate in as much as the bed was very comfortable , the shower in the en suite was in need of some... Have not been to the Hotel Rudyard for a while so while in the area decided to go for a carvery. The carvery itself as always was really nice, Tasty fresh meat and veg and very reasonable in price. However the staff really let the place down. Had to wait ages for someone to come and serve us at the... More

Absolutely Lovely place! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was amazing. We went to a couple of other restaurants around the area on our trip as well but this was by far the best, Will definitely be visiting again soon!

After 'Googling' carveries in Staffordshire, we decided to visit the Rudyard Hotel, based on its website. Should have checked out some Tripadvisor reviews first. So, so disappointed with the rude staff, the food hall/ run down conference type room where we were shown to and the long wait to get a drink and order carveries at the bar. The staff... More

We stayed here just for one night but the welcome was lovely, the room and facilities comfy and clean. The Carvery was unbelievably great value and the breakfast next day was superb although the coffee needs to be stronger so have tea! A lovely old hotel in splendid gardens and a beautiful setting very near the lake at Rudyard!
