Just returned home after a quick 1 nite stay over at this hotel, wish we could stay longer cause it was so lovely. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely and the food was delicious. Only 25min drive from alton towers so was very handy for us as a wee stopover before heading back up... More

Our daughter and son-in law got married here this week and we stayed for 2 nights, it was excellent. The rooms are of a very high standard with comfy beds and pillow, our room had a fab view over the Roaches. The whole experience cannot be faulted the whole team made sure that all our needs were catered for by... More

I was lucky enough to have my wedding reception at The Three Horseshoes on Friday 29th August 2014, and both me and my husband couldnt be happier. The day went like clockwork, and even when the weather begun to take a turn for the worse, the staff took it in their stride and looked after all our guests perfectly. The... More

The hotel grounds are lovely and the views of the roaches make it that little bit more special, we went for a wedding and the food served was superb as was the breakfast the next morning, The bar prices I thought were a bit over what we normally pay and the lady that served us wasn't particularly welcoming but the... Very comfortable rooms, very clean and bathroom lovely. We were given a 'four poster bed' on booking as the last available bed but was a little disappointed that the bed didn't have the top and canopy on etc when we arrived as it wasn't as the picture. My grandson was more disappointed than I was as he was excited at... More

Somewhat larger hotel accommodation than I was expecting. Comfortable, clean, well appointed rooms. Food and drink very good quality; bar menu was a little predictable and the breakfast freshly cooked. Shame the kippers on offer were only the filleted option. Only downside was lack of phone signal in the pub and rooms!

This was a one night stay, for bed and breakfast, following a wedding. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the one failing, so far as I was concerned, was that there was no provision of glutn free bread for toast with breakfast. In a place the size of this I would have expected dietary needs to be addressed.

We stayed here at the start of July as we had a wedding nearby. We arrive and put our bags into our big spacious room then went to the cosy bar area for a few drinks served by the extremely friendly staff. We had the delicious, freshly cooked breakfast one morning. We would defiantly return in the future.

Stay here a lot for business, Great little hotel with traditional pub at the front and fantastic brasserie restaurant at the back. All rooms finished to a very high standard and evening meal and breakfast at the Brasserie is fantastic. Not the cheapest of hotels but I think paying that bit extra is worth it,So if in the area check it... More

Blackshaw Moor and the beginning of the Pennines can be viewed in all its glory from the rear gardens of the hotel. Not surprisingly the hotel is a favourite venue for weddings but the layout of the rooms tends to separate wedding guests from everyone else and neither were we aware of any loud music that otherwise you might expect....
