Very comfortable rooms, very clean and bathroom lovely. We were given a 'four poster bed' on booking as the last available bed but was a little disappointed that the bed didn't have the top and canopy on etc when we arrived as it wasn't as the picture. My grandson was more disappointed than I was as he was excited at... More

Somewhat larger hotel accommodation than I was expecting. Comfortable, clean, well appointed rooms. Food and drink very good quality; bar menu was a little predictable and the breakfast freshly cooked. Shame the kippers on offer were only the filleted option. Only downside was lack of phone signal in the pub and rooms!

This was a one night stay, for bed and breakfast, following a wedding. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the one failing, so far as I was concerned, was that there was no provision of glutn free bread for toast with breakfast. In a place the size of this I would have expected dietary needs to be addressed.

We stayed here at the start of July as we had a wedding nearby. We arrive and put our bags into our big spacious room then went to the cosy bar area for a few drinks served by the extremely friendly staff. We had the delicious, freshly cooked breakfast one morning. We would defiantly return in the future.

Stay here a lot for business, Great little hotel with traditional pub at the front and fantastic brasserie restaurant at the back. All rooms finished to a very high standard and evening meal and breakfast at the Brasserie is fantastic. Not the cheapest of hotels but I think paying that bit extra is worth it,So if in the area check it... More

Blackshaw Moor and the beginning of the Pennines can be viewed in all its glory from the rear gardens of the hotel. Not surprisingly the hotel is a favourite venue for weddings but the layout of the rooms tends to separate wedding guests from everyone else and neither were we aware of any loud music that otherwise you might expect.... A colourful display of flowers adorn an attractive exterior. Stepping inside, the pleasant ascetics continue. The ambiance is good throughout but we chose to eat outside as it was a beautiful day. The lunchtime carvery is reasonably priced (they do a special deal for seniors) and the quality of food is good. The Three Horseshoes is a lovely place to... More

Although we were staying at a Caravan Club site close by, we came here for drinks and a couple of meals. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was very good as was the service. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked at the last minute for an overnight stay and the room was a fantastic price. On arrival, we went through the pub entrance instead of the hotel, and obviously looking lost, the staff asked if we were ok and kindly pointed us in the right direction, very polite and helpful. Parking is great and check in was quick, easy,... More

Booked this as a 1 night stop over for my wife and I, and 2 friends as we were spending 2 days at Alton Towers. First impressions were good from pulling into the large, clean well lit car park. Walked into the modern clean reception area and were met politely and checked in with all the necessary information for food... More
