My elderly wife and I recently stayed at the Stanhope Arms and were really impressed with it the service that they provided for us both, especially as we're both disabled. Not a very pleasant stay, yet from growing up in the area, The Stanope Arms was reknowed as the place to hold your wedding reception and was very prestigious. My husband has a disability and the staff made us feel unfit and unwelcome and also gossiped about our disability to others. The service was slow and food items not available.The... more
