This BB is a great find in the area. The house is very well appointed with a nice guest lounge and good WIFI. It is tucked off the main road, on a slip road, so in the dark it a little hard to find! Once I found it I was a little concerned as it was off a very busy... More

I have left it until now to add my rating. I tried to contact the hotel about the problems to let them say what was being done to prevent a occurrence. I also left a note about the problems but have heard nothing back. Service very good with cake and tea served on arrival with the other guests. Breakfast was... More

From the very start of my two night stay I felt completely at home. The room (The Nook) was clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the close proximity of the A38 Dual carriageway. the quantity and quality of the food at breakfast was up with the best I have experienced in this type of establishment. I felt nothing was... More

Contrary to some reviews just got back from a very pleasant stay at this B&B, the proprietor Jill was very helpful couldn't do enough for you. Room was pleasant, bed soo comfortable, first time I have had a very long bath tub , Jill will even prepare an evening meal for you. Breakfast was a full English and I mean... More

Stayed at Amber House for 1 night as we were attending a reception at Alrewas Hayes nearby. We had a nice welcome from Jill with tea, coffee and scones with jam and cream. The Garden Room we had was nice, clean and comfortable with nice comfy bed. I would have liked a mirror in the room. Shame that bedroom didn't... More

We are not really usedto B&B, more used to hotels but this place would unfortunately put us off a little more. The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly so much so that I feel dreadful in giving this revue. Maybe it needs a little more experience and less attention to unessentials.

house very close to busy A38 therefore noisy. house very old fashioned with a strange smell upstairs twin room very small with an extention in it for plugs which i think is dangerous. the "garden room" as the owner calls it is very small, upstairs and merely overlooks the garden!! room far too hot and a funny shape. no door... Our second stay at Amber House which is a wonderful dog friendly B&B. We had another great stay here with our dogs. Room really comfy and breakfast delicious - great choices! We were made so welcome and well looked after by hostess Gill - freshly baked scones with cream and jam on arrival!

On arrival you can be sure of a warm welcome from Gill, with a pot of tea & cake before being shown to your room with good Wi-fi connections. Fantastic breakfast, choices of fruit juices, fresh fruit salad, selection of cereals, full English breakfast, toast, tea or coffee. What more could you want to set you up for the day.... More

I stayed one night on business and was made to feel welcome. I stayed in the garden room where I had a good wifi connection. There are reasonable dining or takeaway options locally. The breakfast was nice with good options. I would be happy to stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and this is much appreciated. We have changed the furniture in this room, which guests seem to like very much. The bespoke padded wall hangings continue to be a success as a replacement for the headboards and a new TV is in the process of being mounted on the wall More
