The main sign outside wasnt working so we missed it as travelled at night and then had 5 miles to get back to it. The room very old something out of the 70's by the look of it. The tv had a blurry picture even after I retuned it. There was stains on ceiling and walls. The shower rail was... More

This was booked as originally we wanted to be within striking range of Alton Towers and stay within budget of all in our group, last year we used the northbound lodge and it was fine (as usual with travelodges) but this time the Southbound one worked out cheaper (£27/room/night) so we booked this. As always the great thing about travelodges... More

The facilities are straight forward but as I have difficulty lifting my legs the over bath shower was a no no. the fitting in the bathroom are in need of replacement. the soap dispenser was very low and the content was minuscule. The curtains did not meet in the middle and had holes in them. I did sleep well and... More

On entering my room, it was far too hot, and had no air conditioning. I opened the windows for air, but the noise outside the room was terrible. There were chainsaws running at 1am!!! Then, Saturday morning, forklift trucks were clattering around outside! There was no floor mat in the bathroom, so I had to stand on the hand towel.... More

This was an appropriate stop rest place when we were visiting Alton towers. Aprrox. 30min drive away. We arrived after a long day feeling very dirty and exhausted. The man at reception was very nice and the rooms were clean and fit for purpose. Its obviously not 5* luxury but for £39 for a family room i wasn't expecting any... More

Just returned from 4 nights here, placed in a room at rear of hotel. There is a train line some 100metres away but in fairness trains are quiet and you don't notice it after a while ! Staff (James and Ashmaz (spelling?) were friendly, polite, always helpful and a credit to Travelodge themselves.Take note area managers ! This lodge is due... More

Wasnt aware that they allowed dogs into the travelodge, spent the night itching and being bitten by flees which we saw several of. This came as a tottal suprise as we dont own animals so havent been bitten... More

Spent a night here with my wife to attend a wedding nearby. The welcome was great and they even recommended a local pub which was near the Marina when I asked them where I could get some lunch. The staff are very pleasant and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A faulty... More

Excellent budget hotel, very clean & comfortable rooms. No hotel or road noise noticable. Be careful about sat nav directions, post code took us to an industrial estate off the A38, behind the hotel which is accessed from the A38 southbound
