Stayed in an Executive Lodge room on a Saturday night for business. As this was a last minute booking for me and a business colleague we booked this room as it had a sofa bed and double bed (to compensate for all twin rooms being reserved). Negatives No phone in any lodge room Dirty glass left in cupboard Spare pillows... More

The first time we stayed in this hotel was a few years ago and we had a good experience so we went back again when we were visiting my partners family. The room was nice with a comfy bed and a good sized tv. The bathroom was a great except for the minor issue of the toilet being right next... More

The hotel is like a maze! Lots of wonky staircases and corridors, our double room was a little dated and the bed was two single beds pushed together. I asked if we could swap but there were no other rooms available, it wasn't the end of the world and the bed was comfy. Didn't get a proper duvet though, just... More

This is the kind of place you visit because you have to not because you want to. It is very dated. I expect a good bed and some decent breakfast. However I felt the springs in the mattress and the croissant was probably one of the worst I have ever eaten. This is the minimum you can expect from any... More

Stayed here for the duration of the recent beer festival. My greeting at reception was a little brisk but besides that it was a good stay. My room was at the front and was fairly quiet. It was clean had good storage space and a large on suite. The breakfasts were pretty good. I was offered fresh fruit by the... More

Funny place, all clean but very dated, easy parking staff nice, shower flooded the bathroom and wasn't all that great but if you need a cheap hotel for a night it's fine, blaring TV in breakfast room which they did switch off, quite a few workmen staying which is fine but it's not a place you would stay as a... My wife and I stayed in a twin room for 2 nights (12 & 13 May) as B&B guests. The room was a little on the small size but not cramped. Very clean and tidy. Decor rather old-fashioned. Poor TV reception - OK for watching a gardening programme but NG for George Gently. Bathroom OK - efficient shower - but... More
