We stayed 2 night deal with B & B and dinner on first night. The room we had was clean and the bathroom spotless although a little small. Room was comfortable, and would appear to have been refurbished in the last couple of years. The Hotel staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The food was mostly good,... more

The grounds of this hotel are very pleasant and it is situated in a quiet village. We were staying in an executive room which was very tired in terms of decor and mismatched furniture. The bathroom was not very clean and there was a dirty tissue in one of the drawers. The room smelt strongly of smoke even though we... more

I'm not a fan of old hotels. I don't find creaking floorboards add character and I really dislike single beds in hotels. This hotel has all of these things (in the room I was staying)... Although it's old, the room has a nice TV, complimentary bottles of water etc. Nice gardens I was staying for one night for business so... more

Yes, I agree with some of the criticisms. But I would like to say how helpful we found all the staff. The chap in the bar and the woman in reception were working late night and morning shift, and still maintained a hospitable warmth to customers. The attitude of the staff can make such a difference in a so-so hotel;... more

This is a nice old house in the countryside. There are many beautiful villages to visit and excellent food to be found in local pubs and restaurants. The room was small, old - worn out pillows and duvet, Expensive internet. The grounds are beautiful, and there is a lounge, dinning room and bar. This is a very expensive hotel for... more

Uncomfortable bed and pillows, noisy pipes, and a hot room all led to a stay without any sleep. Shower wasn't working so useless wash in the morning. Incompetent staff (20 minutes to check out even though there was only one person in front of me). No morning paper even though ordered. Four of us stayed in separate rooms and all... more

We were visiting various sites around the area of Staffordshire and picked the Newton Park hotel from other reviews, and we were not disappointed. The receptionist on our arrival was a very pleasant young lady who was very helpful, later on another of her colleagues gave us directions to a restaurant for our evening meal. The staff in the dining... more

My partner and I have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. The first evening we ate in the hotel's Folly Restaurant and the meal was faultless, although we were the only ones in the restaurant which was a real shame. We ate off the table d'hote menu which, for a hotel of its type, is quite... more

My husband and I stayed here after attending a wedding reception at the hotel. The grounds and appearance of the hotel is lovely and the wedding breakfast excellent. We booked online directly with the hotel and at the time only twin rooms were available so we took that. I am now glad that we did - our room was large,... more
