I have steered away from chain hotels for years, because of poor experiences in the past. I am a fairly light sleeper and I find it infuriating to be disturbed by the potential rowdy comings and goings of other completely insensitive residents, usually in the middle of the night and by the tackiness and shabbiness of the room's fixtures and... When travelling around the UK (live offshore) and only staying for one or two nights will always stay at Premier Inn as the rooms are always sufficiently large, beds comfy and the whole experience affords a good nights rest. This hotel is typical of that plus (not always the case) helpful, personable and efficient staff. Not ideal for romantic break... More

All the staff we encountered at the hotel and the beefeater were extremely friendly. The rooms were pleasant and the beds comfortable. The evening meals and breakfasts in the beefeater were well presented and tasty. Despite being very busy in the restaurant every aspect of our experience was 1st class and we never felt that we were waiting for anything... More

Stayed over the weekend of 21/22 August and the staff on reception could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable, and the a/c quiet and efficient. What more can you ask for at such reasonable prices? The breakfasts are also worth a mention, freshly cooked to order and more than enough to... More

Stayed on a Sunday night £44 for our room, great bargain. Very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. I must say it was the most comfortable bed iv ever had in a hotel . Didn't hear any road noise as its kind of on an industrial estate ish! Morrisons across the road if you forget any thing. Plenty of places... More

Clean, comfortable and huge family room. Really great value with very friendly reception staff. Evening meal at the Beefeater next door was very good. The breakfast the next morning was really well cooked although the service at breakfast was a little poor. Overall I would recommend.

We chose Burton-on-Trent Central as it was well placed for our visit to the National Memorial Arboretum. The room was clean, nicely furnished with blackout curtain, a comfortable king size bed and armchair. Although our room overlooked a busy road we had no problems with the noise. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We did not use the Beefeater... More

Premier Inn is all really good, clean and polite staff. The beefeater next door tho has a lot to live up to with poor wait times on seating, service, only a select few adequate staff carrying manager/others.
