Wow - what an amazing place. Lovely, peaceful setting - superb big room with patio doors opening out on the glorious garden. Excellent breakfast in the conservatory with blue skies and the sun beating down - only downside was that we only stayed for the one night. If visiting this area again Dovecliff Hall Hotel would be my first choice.

Lovely manor house hotel. Quiet location with pretty gardens adjacent to the River Dove. I had a lovely room in the building away from the main house, tucked away in the corner, on the ground floor. The room had french doors opening onto my own little patio area with a small table and two chairs - perfect for sitting outside... More

A lovely setting for the restaurant, in the conservatory, but food and service were mediocre. We will not rush to return there. For the benefit of visitors to Burton on Trent who are looking for a restaurant recommendation:- * The Old Vicarage in Branston, Burton upon Trent, is the very best for food quality and nice service. * The Winery,... We stayed here the night as a treat for our silver wedding, we stopped in The Lord Burton suite, which is beautiful. As you would Expect in a suite everything was quality, the bed the bathroom with its free standing roll top bath, powerful shower. But for us both what made the room was the view over the gardens and... More

Beautiful room the junior suite (room4) amazing views.... Very clean room and bathroom. Bar area good with excellent dinng area. We ate lunch before going out for the day, I had the mixed meats which was lovely, my wife went for the warm poached salmon, however cold smoked salmon turned up, which in fact was delicious ....so no harm done....... Had been looking forward to a night here after a strenuous day competing in a local sporting event. I'd booked the best suite in the hotel. When I phoned up to ask to book dinner prior to arriving, I was told they had double booked us and our room was not available. I ended up having to book in at... More

We celebrated our daughters wedding at Dovecliff and can only say it was the most perfect day - the weather, food, and venue could not be faulted, the staff service was impeccable nothing was too much trouble for them and they made not only the Bride and Groom feel special but all our guests who attended. The food was excellent... More

Lovely place in the countryside near to Burton. Good choice of options at breakfast though service could have been a bit more 'visible'. My room was in the annex rather than the main building. Very spacious and quiet which was welcome.
