Arrived in the afternoon and found check in easy. Cottage lovely with all ground floor accomodation including double bedroom and second room with twin bunk beds. I suggest you leave promptly to get to Alton Towers as otherwise bottleneck going through village.Worth paying to get to premium car park as then right by entrance so can get in park muck... more

Very comfortable cottage. Clean, warm & loads of hot water and clean white towels. Friendly and helpful owners. 5 mins drive from Alton Towers but being away from the park gives you a nice break after a day there. Close to all amenities and also to other attractions in that area like Sudbury Hall and walks in the beautiful countryside.... more

I'm just back from a 5 day stay at lower micklin farm. Tracey was a great help with anything we needed. We arrived realy early in the morning (10am) and even though it says on their website that the cottages will be available from 4.30pm Tracey had everything sorted for our early arrival. She advised us on places to eat,... more

I have recently returned from my hen weekend at Alton Towers and my Bridesmaid's did a fabulous job of finding Lower Micklin Farm for us to stay. There were 15 of us and we stayed in three adjoining cottages which were perfect - clean, tidy, practical and with stunning views. Really couldn't fault anything - walking distance to the local... more

We were planning a weekend stay to visit Alton Towers. After reading such great reviews we thought we would try the cottages. Tracey is fantastic and very helpful and the cottage met all our needs. It cost the same as booking two rooms for two nights at the nearest room only Lodge/Inn to Alton Towers (7 miles away). Add in... more

We stayed in cottage 3 and it really was beautiful, clean and homely. Brilliant service - friendly and accommodating - and we were very impressed with the alton towers bus,... more

I stayed at Lower Micklin Farm with a group of five other adults during the Easter holidays this year. We were all very impressed with how personal and friendly the service was. The cottage we stayed in was a nice size, comfortable and clean and the owner of the farm was incredibly helpful during our stay. Their hospitality even extended... more

Lower Miklin Farm in an ideal location for the family. I chose the cottages for 1)the short distance to Alton Towers 2)Can accommodate our 5 teenage children and ourselves very comfortably 3) The kitchen facilities and take aways near by kept the cost of feeding everyone to a minimum. 4)The beautiful views across the countryside. When we arrived the cottage... more
