My Friends and I stayed at Lower Micklin Farm on a short, one night stay at the beginning of June. The cottages are nestled onto a gently sloping hillside and have views across the valley, which on a warm June day were just beautiful. The interior of the cottages are clean and comfortable with everything you need to get you... more

The self catering bungalow at Lower Micklin Farm offered my family and I the perfect resting place after a very long and very boaring journey from sussex. Before spending the following day on a fun filled day at Alton Towers! Which is a mere two miles from the bungalow. On arriving at Lower Micklin Farm( not to be confused with... more

Myself, my Wife and our Son aged 12 years stayed at Lower Micklin Farm cottages as a base to go to Alton Towers and to explore local surroundings. The cottages are situated in stunning country hillsides with an abundance of wildlife to see, including Kestrels! The area is so quiet and relaxing, our cottage was very clean and extremely comfortable... more

Ive just came back from a weekend here and it was the worst weekend ever!! Our cottage was dated, manky and smelt damp and the kitchen utensils were dirty. We had been advised it was 1 mile from alton towers, which in reality was app 3 (all of which is an uphill hike). The heating was turned off at regular... more

Their was everything you needed e.g. cooker, microwave, kettle and even a tv dvd combo. There was also lots of fast food take out menus, which we... more

A group of us stayed at one of the cottages on Lower Micklin Farm last weekend. We chose this option because we needed accomodation close to the Alton Towers Theme Park that worked within a budget, and also gave us an attractive and calm base to retreat to. The quality and presentation of the cottage was outstanding. Very clean and... more

The premises were fantastic and only 5 mins away from Alton Towers itself!!! There was superb cooking facilities, DVD player and TV. The owners were extremely pleasant and easy going and there... more

We stayed at Lower Micklin Farm Cottage 4 and it was superb. Very clean and friendly, clean towels everyday. Very close to Alton Towers which was why we went. The cottage had central heating which you could have on anytime you wanted, great after a long day at the theme park. This is the second time I have stayed there... more

We stayed at Lower Micklin Farm in Cottage 1 for our visit to alton towers. We were very pleased with our choice and would like to recommend this accommodation highly. The location is perfect for visits to the park but also the village and surroundings areas are beautiful, very scenic, picturesque and peaceful. We were very impressed with the accommodation... more

Just returned from another amazing trip to Alton Towers, my second stay at Lower Micklin Farm. My friends and I stayed in Cottage 4 once again, and cannot fault anything at all. The cottage was spotless, towels changed each day, tea and coffee available, plus everything you could ask for in the kitchen (including a drawer full of take away... more
