The Alton Bridge Hotel is welcoming in a beautiful setting and the overall standard of food and décor excellent. The beer garden and view on a summers day is unrivalled. We live in the village and regularly visit for lunch or an evening meal and have never been disappointed. The comments on waiting for your food need to be put... More

We had booked a table for 8pm tonight (Saturday), we arrived bang on 8pm but still somehow found ourselves waiting around the bar for at least 20 minutes before being shown to our table. I accept that they were busy with all of the passing trade from nearby Alton Towers but that is no excuse for leaving someone waiting to... More

Staying in the area so tried to get in in BH Monday to no avail. Happily were able to accommodate a table for 8 on second occasion. Happened to be Steak night too, which is excellent value at two steaks with a bottle of wine for under £27. Food, staff and atmosphere all excellent. A little gem.

Popped in after a long day at Alton Towers for some dinner. What a find! Interior is lovely and cosy - and we were warmly welcomed by the exceptional staff. Husband had fish n chips, I went all out on the fillet steak and I'm so glad I did! It was worth every penny - melt in the mouth, and... More

Very pleasant establishment obviously refurbished to a good standard. Lots of quirky nik- naks to look at. Sunday menu was quite appealing though we thought most of the choices were a little on the expensive side for what they were. That said, the food was of good quality well presented and served quickly (though no one came and asked if... More

Don't be put off by the look on the outside. Inside the pub is extremely nice. The owners have taken great care in modernising and there are plenty of quirky ornaments to look at whilst waiting for your meal. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. On the evening we went we had not booked and all the tables were... More

We were advised to eat here by a Lizzie & Steve who run Chained Oak Farm just up the road where we staying & we weren't disappointed! We'd left home in Somerset at 6am, got to the farm at 10:30am spent all day at Alton Towers, arrived at Alton Bridge Hotel at around 7:30 & luckily they had a table... More

Popped into the Alton bridge hotel today for some lunch after a morning at splash landings. Really nice decor and atmosphere. Really enjoyed out home cooked food and fantastic service. On departure the children were given a chocolate bar which was really nice as these days children eating out with adults are often frowned upon.
