We went to Alton Towers in January. We had great fun. Me, my husband and our 6 year old son were looking for cheap place to stay overnight. It was very hard to find so we stayed the first night in Alton Towers Hotel. It is very expensive! We decided to look for something cheaper. And we've discovered a brilliant... more

The hotel is impressive and great for families. I feel they have a great commitment to customer service and seem to have plenty of staff available. The rooms are adequate in size but have poor lighting. The room it's self was in need of some renovation and TLC. The desk unit was badly marked and had burns on. The bathroom... more

I stayed here with my partner for a romantic nights getaway and had a lovely time. The room was lovely and the bath in particular was great. As it was a themed room you get champagne, chocolates and balloons in the room which were a lovely touch and made a huge difference. The little touches were a bit disapointing-for example... more

Many of the bad reviews about this hotel seem to be concerning the price. It is true that it is very expensive if you go during the main theme park season, but you can get great deals if you can go out of season. We got a half price deal that made the room cheaper than your average travelodge including... more

My partner booked for us to stay orginally at the Splash Landings Hotel and have two days at the theme park and the waterpark. I looked on Trip Advisor and saw that Splash Landings had awful reviews, so not wanting to risk it, as we'd paid £300 for this break, we changed our booking to the Alton Towers Hotel. I'm... more

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 5 year old twins during the school summer holidays. We weren't expecting it to be fantastic after reviews on here and simply expecting it to be over crowded considering time of year. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was right next door to the Reception. Yes, this meant it was... more

This was our third visit in 6 years and the third stay where we have splashed out on a themed suite. Have to say this time was very disappointing. I have always thought it was expensive but worth the money but what has happened to the place??? As previous visitors I didn't ask too many questions when I booked. The... more

Just spent a night with the family at the Imperial Suite at the Alton Towers Hotel. Was a bit sceptical of the price but thought i'd treat the family. The total price for 1 night in the suite and 2 days access to the main Theme Park and Water Park was £390. This included fast track passes to the rides... more
