I have just stayed at the Splash Landings hotel for one night with my daughter. Unlike some of the reviewers I liked the theme of the hotel, sort of shabby Caribbean driftwood type decor, we loved the carpet design with shells and beachy themes. The rooms were clean with good quality bathroom goodies. We ate at Flambo's restaurant/carvery where the... more

Stayed here overnight for a two day visit to the theme park. Quite expensive but thought it would be more convenient. Arrived Sunday left Monday. Attracted by early park entry and the water park in the same building. Hotel itself is fine, rooms OK and staff very helpful. But facilities soon get crowded and food was a bit mediocre -... more

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend. Check in was very good, we arrived at 12pm and they managed to give us a room straight away. The room was fine, great for a family as they have a double and bunks. Bathroom was good, with nice goodies for you to have. The problems started when we slept. Firstly the... more

Arrived at hotel at 2.30pm on Sunday 8th June. Great check in, got checked in earlier then said time which was 3pm. Good service, Josh was very helpful and told us all that we needed to know. Room over looked outside water park. Very cold and put heating on when we got to room. Double bed and bunk beds. Clean.... more

We stayed for one night B & B at the Splash landings, the staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful, they checked us in quickly. We then went off to our room which was clean and tidy. A bonus of free shampoo, shower gel etc provided in the bathroom (imperial leather)! We ate in the Flambo's restaurant at the... more

Have just returned from two great days at Alton Towers. The staff are all very attentive, extremley helpful and cheery. We went to the waterpark for the afternoon when we arrived. It was good and the kids loved it but there isn't enough to do there to stay for the whole day, the price (£14 per adult, £10 for 4-11... more

We too had the promotion from The Sun newspaper so ended up paying £90 for a room for 3 including breakfast, must say we still thought this was expensive as it was supposed to be 50% off and didnt include theme park tickets or tickets for swimming pool, i had to pay another £34 for swim for family of 3.... more

All in all I was quite impressed with the hotel - it's by no means 5* bt also, for the number of visitors it gets the standard is quite good. The first thing that hit me was that it was quite hot in the hotel - I'm always hot so this didn't bode well for me but it wasn't a... more

We only visited the Splash Water Park for the day. Was very busy between 10 and 2, so I advise going after midday and stay laster in the afternoon - queues will be shorter! Really good slides and climbing frames - children really enjoyed it. The water outside is warm too. Would suggest they add pegs for towels - all... more
