I cannot fault The Star caravan park and it is easy to see we why it is rated 5star in caravan and camping club website. It is everything you want when visiting a touring caravan site and was the perfect location for visiting Alton towers. I was very impressed how clean and well kept the site and facilities were and... Granddaughter and I arrived late Friday afternoon about 6:30 PM. From the time that we arrived the site wardens were fantastic the area was clean and tidy and I felt very safe with my granddaughter. Nice big player area away from the main caravans that was fantastic for my granddaughter to go playing and was in view of my accommodation.... More

Made a booking for a two night stay for my son and friends, booking confirmed over the phone, payment taken from my bank account £130 which equals €180 ( live in Southern Ireland ). Age of son and friends clearly stated over the phone at the time of booking. Then had a very excited son, going to Alton towers for... More

Stayed 09/05/15 for 1 night after a trip to Alton towers, from start to finish this site was perfect. Had a bit of bother trying to book online so phoned up and had it all sorted within minutes. We got there at about 5:30pm and were greeted at the gates by an extremely friendly helpful lady who offered us everything... More

spacious field for camping, great play area for kids. Only problem is no much help for walks to do but apart from that it was all great. Close to alton towers too which is a bonus. Will stay again in near future.

My son, dog and I took our campervan here for a couple of nights. Its located about a mile away from Alton towers. We took a grass pitch with electricity which was on a little hill. however we have blocks to level up. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and helped us with that. I found the wash rooms exceptionally... More

We hired a 6 bed caravan and was really impressed it was very clean and well looked after. The staff where very helpful telling us about the walks and came as soon as possible when we found that the battery in the smoke alarm had gone flat and started bleeping.

Stayed in March on a grass pitch (camping). Had the entire field to ourselves; toilet block, family bathroom, launderette, pot wash and play area were all very close. Owners were helpful and very friendly. Quiet, clean camp-site, and just down the road from Alton Towers. WiFi available for a fee. Facilities were always clean, warm and well stocked! No complaints,... More

We stayed here last weekend for two nights. On arrival the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. One of the men walked us around to the pitch and even helped us back in. (No motor mover for us) the site and it's facilities were really clean. The children loved the park. We stayed here whilst we enjoyed a few... More

What a surprise, scenic, so well kept and friendly. Being an OAP I was worried it would be to close to Alton Towers but a mile away so got to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely surrounds. Brilliant location for walking and a little pub just down the road for tea. Thank you
