We have stayed at Arden Cottage before, to break a journey to Cornwall. This time we had a BIG wedding in the area so we availed ourselves of the B&B and also Jane and Paul's dog sitting service. As before, we enjoyed our stay, and the dogs had no complaints after their extra two night sojourn. Indeed, the dogs sent... More

A very welcoming and relaxing stay in the owners lovely home. Nothing was too much trouble and we will be back for the breakfast alone! Ideal location for exploring the beautiful locale and highly recommended. Ann & Richard

It's still a beautiful Spring morning here at Arden Cottage and to be greeted with such a kind review makes it even sunnier. We both thoroughly enjoyed chatting with you during your stay and hearing all about your day out travelling the first part of the Coleridge Way. We are happy to read that you felt welcomed and relaxed here... More

Our third visit to Arden Cottage. Very relaxing and enjoyable as always, with easy access to Exmoor, the Quantocks, the coast and the West Somerset Railway. Special thanks for showing us a nice local walk and use of your welding goggles for the solar eclipse. Accomodation very comfortable and excellent breakfasts to set us up for the day. Thank you... It was good to see you both again as well as 'laid back' Dewi. We were very lucky to have the additional excitement of the Solar Eclipse during your stay and to enjoy the walk up onto the hills to get a better view from the welding goggles (not ideal we know, but better than nothing when used sensibly). We... More

Spend most of my working week staying in B&B's, and few of them leave a great impression as this one did ! . Beautiful old building set in beautiful gardens , run by a really great couple. Really worth a visit guys so book a stay , you won't be disappointed.

I would like to say the owners couldn't do enough for us,if I had to be picky it would be that they look after dogs while the owners are away and they do a fantastic job,but we were staying there with my parents and there small dog and we took second presidence to this I feel that the b& b... Firstly it was good to read that we were not the object of your concerns. Secondly we take on board your comment about Host dogs at the breakfast table and in the kitchen. We do our best to keep our Host dogs away from the table when Guests are eating, but as your Parent's dog was under the table during... More

We finally managed to return to Somerset 18 months after our first visit - and had an equally delightful stay. Jane and Paul welcomed us as old friends, and the dogs immediately remembered their previous happy holiday with much wagging of tails! Breakfast and accommodation excellent as before, weather very good, definitely a stress-free relaxing 3 night stay. We found... More

Jane and Paul gave me the most wonderful Christmas bolt hole, and are very special people. I've been to a number of dog friendly b and bs, many of which are in reality only 'dog tolerant'. At Arden Cottage, Betty was welcomed with treats and a chewy bone, personally shown the best local walks, given tasty scraps left over from... More
