We have just returned from a family weekend at the Lynch where we stayed in 3 of the rooms all tastefully furnished with antiques. The Regency house is well maintained and is set in beautiful grounds with black swans on the lake. All rooms were spacious and full of character and the breakfasts in the orangerie were delicious. Mike and... More

Set in pretty gardens, you can eat your delicious breakfast looking out from the Orangery at a huge Mulberry Tree. Stayed in the attractive annexe where rooms are small but comfortable. Somerton is a delightful English Market Town, worth a stroll around. Recommend a visit to the Somerton Guild of Craftworkers, shopping at Clark's Village Outlet at nearby Street and... More

We stayed here the night of our wedding. Superb service in leaving our car and collecting keys. Extremely comfortable room and very clean. Provided with tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. Breakfast was brilliant and of high quality. Was a lovely stay, definitely would go back and recommend to others.

What a beautifull country House in a beautifull old town called Somerton. The rooms facing the front lawn were superb, spacious and full of charactar. One room had a old fashioned four poster. Breakfast was adequate and friendly staff. I would for sure recommend this B+B to my dutch friends.. For dinner and drinks visit White Hart Somerton. Walking distance,... More

I stayed for two nights, travelling solo, on 15th/16th May 2014 en-route to West Dorset. As described by other visitors, this is a terrific little gem tucked away and yet within a few minutes walk of Somerton's centre, and not too far by car from Glastonbury Tor and the Clarks Shopping village. I stayed in the Coach House annexe, and... More

This country house is delightful. I stayed in the coach house with 3 colleagues for one night on a business trip and could not find fault. The owners are friendly, the breakfast is wonderful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and very elegant. Beds, pillows etc.were high quality and very comfortable. Even saw the black swans wandering in the grounds. Beautiful... More

My daughter and her husband and two boys nine and seven took me to the Lynch Country House for an early birthday treat. I had no idea where they were taking me, but was delighted when we arrived at the Lynch. We were shown to our rooms in the main house and both rooms were beautiful and well stocked with... More

Stayed at the Lynch on a business trip in mid November. My colleague and I arrived late on a Sunday evening, and the two rooms were left open for us. We were accommodated in the Coach house, and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and resupplied daily with tea, coffee and toiletries. As others have commented, breakfast at the Lynch... More

A group of us booked out The Lynch Country House for a weekend - it was my husband's 40th and we wanted somewhere to stay that was comfortable, a bit luxurious for this weekend treat, local to a lot of activities, but also easily walkable to town and some pubs and restaurants. The Lynch ticked every box and more. It... More

As a party of 4 couples staying for a wedding we were given the lovely coach house. The coach house has 4 rooms one with a stove and patio, the others equally nice, the middle two, just a bit smaller. Although all these rooms are on the road side we were not troubled by this at all, the road seemed... More
