We were travelling to the West County from Kent and we decided to have a spot of lunch enroute at the Manor Arms.  Our choice of place was not accidental as we had stayed there many times (we have lost count but at least over ten times) in the past when run by previous owners Rex & Jane Gilmore.  We... Thank you for your interesting review and your kind comments. I know you met my husband when you visited and relived some of the old times. With regard to the picture of the village hall celebrations at the end of the war showing those interesting prices of everything I do know that when we were taken over by "the chain"... More

Nice country inn with comfy room. Can recommend the lamb chops and big English breakfast. All in all good value unfortunately being a light sleeper was disturbed by two gentlemen talking quite loudly in the car park but other than that we shall certainly stay again in the future. .

Well I arrived late at Crewkerne Railway station fully expecting to see a number of Taxis, sadly there were none, I called a few local firms only to be told they were none available for hours I contemplated walking the couple of miles. Finally before I started walking I called the Manor Arms and without hesitation the girl on the... More

Eric, it was kind of you to take time to write your review and it is so much appreciated. Yes it was our cook who came and picked you up at the station as Graham the owner, was not on the premises at the time but I know he met you later that evening. We try our hardest to make... More

Having read some outdated reviews we approached this hotel with some trepidation. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted with this homely and welcoming traditional pub. The food was excellent, both in the evening and at breakfast time. If you are expecting an ultra modern ensuite bedroom you could be a little disapointed as this is a traditional old pub and... More

After a bad experience elsewhere we decided to book a couple of nights in this lovely characteristic bed and breakfast. I call it this as its so much more than a pub. We were greeted by Debbie, nothing was too much trouble. Throughout our stay the hospitality and friendliness was fantastic, my 7 year old daughter said it should have... More

Thank you so much for that review and am only too pleased that your stay was both comfortable and memorable. The girls all fell in love with your young daughter who engaged everyone she saw in the pub. We all try to make our guests feel at home when they visit as it all adds to their overall experience. It... More

It is a good old traditional pub with no pretensions - our room was in an outside converted barn, fairly basic, but comfortable enough. We were a party of 10, walking the Perrott Trail, and although we arrived a little early (5.15 pm when check-in is at 6), they let us in without complaint. The staff were always helpful and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. As a party of 10 it is very good to know that you all had an enjoyable stay, however brief, and that food and drink were all they should be. (particularly the beers which my husband prides himself on!) All of our food ingredients are sourced locally and... More

A web search for a 6-night stay in Somerset near Crewkerne in a place that offered the chance of evening meals to avoid having to go out to eat turned up Manor Arms. As others have said, it is a traditional old village pub, not long bought by its present landlord, who is trying to recover trade lost in recent... More
