This is a lovely quiet characterful inn right in the middle of the Somerset countryside.Very friendly, good food, comfortable warm rooms and a wonderful atmosphere. The facilities in the room are fine and very, very clean. I would thoroughly recommend this place as an overnighter or as a hub to explore. A previous review suggests an update, another talks about... More

There are somethings that were just better in the 'good old days'; Saturday night TV, the amount of traffic on the roads, my hair, mens' clothes, politicians and pubs. Now it may be misplaced nostalgia and, to be fair, I enjoy gastro pubs as much as the next man. I like a boutique hotel and a classy chain hotel, even... More

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. The food was excellent the whole time. We ate both nights dinner here as it was so good the 1st night, . The staff were very helpful with sharing starters and opting for a main as a starter. The breakfasts were equally good and plenty of it! All the staff were friendly and... More

We stayed at The Manor Arms for two nights in May for a wedding at Haselbury Mill. We arrived quite late as we had driven down from London. As soon as we arrived we felt very welcome and had a few drinks at the bar to relax after a long journey. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom... More

We stayed here for two nights for a wedding at Haselbury Mill. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic with tiny bathrooms but were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, well cooked and good service. We had dinner at the pub too and it was large portions and good value for money, would recommend. Our... More

A real shame about the state of the room. Fantastic staff and great food ,this would be a lovely place to stay except for the accomodation. Dank, damp, musty room with poor fitments the impression given by the website is quite misleading. No wi-fi in the room and the photos must have been taken some time ago.Go for dinner or a drink... I stayed here with my husband. Our room was cold and damp with the bedding feeling moist and a patch of mould on the wall. The room generally felt tired and in need of an up date. The service and the breakfast was good. However, despite the attractive price, we felt it was poor value for money.

We were travelling to the West County from Kent and we decided to have a spot of lunch enroute at the Manor Arms.  Our choice of place was not accidental as we had stayed there many times (we have lost count but at least over ten times) in the past when run by previous owners Rex & Jane Gilmore.  We... Thank you for your interesting review and your kind comments. I know you met my husband when you visited and relived some of the old times. With regard to the picture of the village hall celebrations at the end of the war showing those interesting prices of everything I do know that when we were taken over by "the chain"... More
