The bedroom had a smell of damp or dogs ( or both )and was very cramped with a double and a single bed and nowhere to sit.On the positive side there were plenty of good quality towels and it was very clean. The ingredients for the food were fresh and local but suffered a bit during the cooking. The wine list... More

The room we had was comfortable, lots of good towels, nice bed linen, plenty of hot water, good WIFI signal. Not huge, and it smelt a little fusty, though this went when we opened the window for a while. The bar is as you would expect, lots of knick-knacks, some armchairs, some wooden seats with cushions. The armchairs are comfortable,... More

Welcoming and comfortable bar, good local ale, decent and reasonably priced wine list, tasty and well-presented food. Clean, spacious and fully equipped bedroom, comfortable bed with good quality linen, strong wifi signal throughout. Quiet flower-filled garden areas with separate play facilities for children, efficient and friendly landlord and staff. Plenty of dogs visiting (not permitted in restaurant) but no doggy... More

We had a lovely room at the Hood which is a nice village pub with rooms. We ate there both nights that we stayed and enjoyed our meals. Good breakfast each morning, with very friendly staff. Downside for me cheap feeling cutlery and the bar area could do with being a little cleaner but overall we would probably visit again.

After a lovely walk around the surrounding area, we decided to call in as had seen this pub on route to the beach. What a find! very nicely decorated and nice cosy atmosphere. We arrived about 1.30 to find a dog show starting later in the pub gardens. Lots of people were eating so we decided to have the roast... More

We have just returned from a very relaxing stay. Very dog friendly, and really delightful and comfortable rooms, we had one room in the main building and one in the stag lodge. The garden was perfect for an afternoon drink with plenty of space for our dog ted to wander and we later enjoyed lovely meals in the evening in... More

A very affordable dinner, bed and breakfast in a lovely little village within a 5 minute taxi ride of St Audries Park - a wedding venue we were attending. The staff (Jasmine in particular) went above and beyond any previous experience we've had at B&Bs. The rooms are spacious and clean, great value and it's located just 20 minutes walk... More

As if it was we would spend far too much time here! A homely bar decorated with riding and hunting paraphernalia with comfy chairs, log burner and good ale. Very nice food - some of the best liver we have had, exceedingly dog friendly with no restrictions where they can go, very welcoming and friendly staff. The room was spotless,... More
