I have been staying away on business over the last few months and sampled about 15 different hotels/B&B's/Restaurant with rooms and guest houses in the Somerset area. This is the best, the pub/restaurant has a unique charm. Modern yet vintage, clean, cosy and welcoming. The food was fantastic with really good specials and desserts. Breakfast was delicious with all local produce.... More

A great B and B.The rooms were very nice, warm and clean. The service was great and the people were lovely. We really enjoyed the food. We stayed for an evening meal which was very tasty and the cooked breakfast, which was included in the room price was brilliant. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I Stayed here for one night. The owner that met us on arrival was attentive. We were whisked off to our room. The Room was small but clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good We did not try an evening meal. The car park available filled quickly. A couple of signs regarding parking at your own risk... More

We went as a family for lunch while on holiday, after seeing some brilliant reviews. It was OK, but certainly nothing very special. The steak was very over cooked - taken off the bill but still spoilt! Insipid sauce with the mussels along with a cold piece of bought bread. Cold (chilled) sticky toffee pudding and cold brownie,Insipid mousse. The... More

We stayed here for an overnight stopover on a Thursday. We had room number 3. Very spacious, nice and clean and very well decorated. Nice toiletries to use in the shower room. Comfortable bed. We had an evening meal and had a breakfast. Can't fault the food. Delicious. Staff friendly. I will make one little comment. We went to our... More

We have eaten at The Five Dials many times but never stayed there. Our friends in the village were having a Golden Wedding celebration so we stayed for one night. Lovely room, huge bathroom / wet room and as expected a wonderful breakfast. Thank you Sarah and Paul you work so hard. See you again soon

Stayed one night in August on our way to Cornwall. Great location for a stopover minutes from the A303 with parking onsite. We had a family room with a double and single bed. The room was spacious and spotless. Lovely ensuite shower room with great toiletries. We hadn't booked for dinner in advance of arriving but the owners managed to... More

Overall great food, strange experience though. Went in a few weeks ago having seen the place several times going back and forth to work. It was very busy but one table was free. Asked the bloke at the bar whether we needed to book to eat. He just said "yeh" and continued pouring a drink. Assumed that meant me and... More

Stayed one night in July 2014. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Room was rather small but clean and well equipped, but really hot (a fan would have been very welcome). Lovely courtyard garden to enjoy a drink in the peace and quiet. Farmhouse breakfast was really excellent with copious cups of tea and coffee. We also enjoyed the evening... More
