On our way to Kilve Beach we stumbled upon this gem. Fine ales. Gorgeous beer garden. We didn't have time to eat and weren't stopping over night so im unable to comment on these matters that may concern others. For us though, it was Fabulous!! Have marked on google maps for a re-visit some day soon.

Stayed in Holford for the weekend about a 10 minute walk from the Plough Inn. Checked the reviews on Tripadviser before going and thought we'd give it ago. Good food and a very welcoming and friendly landlord. Made you feel like you'd been going to the pub for years. Decided to return the next evening to watch the England/Italy game.... More

Stopped here as we were passing whilst on holiday in the area. A lovely little traditional pub with a good pub menu. The whitebait starter, and the smoked mackerel main were lovely, and I will certainly have them again. Well cooked and good portion sizes, and great value for money. Good kids food to, and even provided cutlery for our... More

Pulled into this pub for a drink and snack part way through our journey and were pleased that we had. Nice choice of drinks and food was reasonably priced. Ordered baguette with bacon sausage and egg which came with tortillas and a small salad garnish which was very nice and extremely filling. Good value for money and would recommend for... More

We stopped here for a drink before walking to Kilve & back along Holford Combe. The beer & cider were both excellent as was the welcome from the landlord. People were having Sunday lunch & it looked excellent, so next time we stop here I'm pretty sure that will be a good plan! Thoroughly recommended...& dog friendly...unlike the Travellers Rest... We had a lovely meal at the plough. Home cooked food, fantastic value for money. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We are staying at the hotel up the road but fancied a pub meal. We would eat here again. Love Bruno the dog too..

We called in here for something to eat on a long drive and we were so glad we did! We were greeted by the landlord and shown to a table by a real log fire - what a treat on a cold night. The menu included plenty of home cooked favourites and as foodie people we were spoilt for choice.... More

We stopped here for lunch one Sunday. Food was very average and prices were reasonable. I love dogs but i'm still not sure about having them around food...and the toilets may have benefitted from a little spruce up. Staff were nice and friendly though, and service was good.
