Just returned from Hinton grange today.Real olde worlde place, four poster beads, real coal fires but iron ,ironing board ,hair dryer and tv in room.Food very good but limited menu, the Bull pub up the road ok but food not as good as the grange. Made a plesant change from modern hotels. You can have your meals served in your room for... more

Booked a period style room with the promise of a real fire and a bath in the room. Ended up with a period room with a onsuite shower room that had no heating and a fixed shower that nearly overflowed as it did not run away. The fire is charged a £10 pounds extra, breakfast in the room is charged... more

..and sadly in some respects Hinton grange falls on the wrong side of the line. Whilst the venue boasts victorian style rooms, four poster beds and large baths, its a disapointment to find the rooms desperate for maintenance and a fresh coat of paint. We had no hot water (so never enjoyed the large victorian bath) and the shower/bathroom was... more

We were looking for a hotel between Bath and Chipping Sodbury for around £65 a night and it was between this and a Premier Inn. If you are a fan of modern rooms with modern fixtures and fittings this hotel is not for you and if like us you are on a budget, then a premier inn will suit you... more

We found this little gem via the web, and stayed for one night during an antiques hunting trip to Bath. We arrived without problem thanks to our sat-nav, but this could be more tricky by conventional means, as the hotel is rather a "hidden gem" in a rural village!! We arrived on a chilly October evening at the hotel reception... more

My wife and I stayed at Hinton Grange for two nights. Having read a number of reviews with wildly differing opinions of the Hotel and facilities after we visited I am not sure how some of the comments have been reached. The Hotel and buildings housing the rooms look beautiful, as do the grounds. We had a room in the... more

The best part about this hotel is the garden which is very attractive and well maintained. The opposite is true regarding the hotel. The rooms are dirty as is the restaurant, the bed was uncomfortable and needed replacing. There seemed to be no evidence of any cleaning happening. The settee in our particular room had stale crumbs and suit labels... more

We stayed for one night on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate, and for the money it can't be faulted. Our room had a certain faded charm, the grounds were delightful, and the food was as good as any I've eaten, absolute top notch bistro style and the best chocolate pudding I've ever had! The receptionist and our evening waitress... more
