We stayed here for a family weekend. We had a family room in one of the cottages. 2 large rooms with everything we needed. Ate both evenings in the pub and nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were really welcoming and attentive. breakfast was cooked to order and was hot. Lovely quiet area in a lovely country pub.

We booked this hotel as a treat for my mums birthday and to take her to longleat. We arrived very tired and weary after an 8 hour drive in the dark. On entering there is no clear reception area, a lady walked past holding some food so we asked her and were told we would have to wait as she... More

We stayed in this pub/hotel for one night while visiting family and stayed in the annex building that is separate from the main pub. The room was clean, well equipped and comfy with parking right outside the room. Breakfast was great and they even had a vegetarian cooked breakfast that my wife enjoyed. Service was excellent and friendly and I... More

Stayed for one night while attending a wedding nearby. Impressed by the warm welcome on arrival.Building is a very nice country pub with rooms in a more modern adjoining annexe. The rooms was very tastefully decorated, tea and coffee facilities were provided. However the bed was very poor, a cheap mattress led to a poor nights sleep, extremely soft and... More

Our first stay was fine and we found the venue to be clean and the staff pleasant. On booking our second stay for 2 nights and 2 rooms (Us and... More

We stayed here on our way to a day's canal boating in Trowbridge, which isn't far away. We were met be Eve and she immediately made us feel welcome, including my 6 and 7 year olds; it was simply lovely to be greeted by her and to have a chat where she involved the kids too. We - my wife... More

Stopped for two nights combining local work meetings with some family time with two teenage daughters. We stayed in Room 1 in the main pub building. The room had a double and single bed, all very comfy and was lovely and traditional in style , plenty big enough for us all. The downside was the bathroom...although it was sparkling clean,... More
