My wife and I spent a long weekend at the hotel in November. Beccy and Derek are wonderful hosts and the breakfast is superb. We will return soon! More

Many thanks for writing your lovely review and I must apologise for the delay in responding but we weren’t informed that a new review had been listed by Trip Advisor (which is what normally happens). We are so pleased that you such a lovely time with us and that you hope to make a return visit to this beautiful part... More

I have just returned from a short family break to Exmoor, staying at this lovely B&B. The welcome from Becky was very friendly and the offer of a cup of tea in the cosy front room was perfect (included yummy flapjack). Stunning views from our bedroom window and a great room that was clean and spacious. Derek is a delightful... More

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review and we are delighted that you had such a great time with us. I am sorry I have taken so long to reply but I didn’t realise that there had been any new postings! We are almost there as far as Christmas is concerned and instead of having... More

Stunning, stunning views from every window, a genuinely warm and informal greeting, spacious, clean and comfortable room, super breakfast, lovely grounds, this place has it all! We have just spent a couple of days there winding down and were blessed with great unseasonal October weather as well as the delights of the Hotel. So why only 'nearly' superb? Well, our... More

You must think me very rude not to have replied to your review! Normally Trip Advisor acknowledge when we have a new review but for some reason the system hasn’t worked for a couple of months and I didn’t realise that you had written – so many apologies! We are so glad that you had a lovely time with us... More

Just returned home after staying two nights in this beautiful B&B. Would highly recommend anyone staying here. Derek and Becky are great hosts, nothing is to much trouble for them. When we arrived we were greeted by Becky who after showing us to our delightful room, offered us a drink, we decided to take this on the veranda and take... More

What a super review and thank you for taking the time to write it. At the moment the moors are looking stunning (well they always do no matter what the weather). We have managed to get out taking advantage of the recent beautiful weather and had some wonderful walks with the dogs. Now the stags have started their rut and... More

Having read the superlative comments about the Dunkery Beacon we were keen to try it out ourselves and booked in for 3 nights .We were not disappointed. What makes this place so good is that Derek and Becky have the ability to make their guests feel so welcome and nothing seems to be too much trouble.Whilst this in itself doesn't sound... Stayed at this delightful BnB last weekend. It has a great location for exploring Exmoor, with breathtaking views over the national park. The owner provides for every request with a smile. He stayed up late to welcome us because we got lost in traffic, and had coffee waiting. The room was great, homely and had a little sitting area to... More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and assuming that you made it to the wedding on time! We have noted your comments about the shower and the problem is the water pressure in the village is very low. We are looking at having a pump installed under the bath to get a more powerful shower... More

I love this place you turn off the A39 and you enter a different world. Walks galore are on your doorstep, yet in spite of all this rural splendour and it is splendid you're not far from anything you may or may not need (banks, supermarkets etc) Derek and Becky are the heart and soul of this B&B and you... No doubt the Dunkery Beacon Hotel is the best choice to explore the Exmoor coastline and countryside. Derek and Becky's hospitality is boundless, just as their precious advices for visits, walks and restaurants.... and their breakfasts! The nights are quiet and the quality of the bedding is perfect.
