This was my very first B&B stay and I absolutely loved it! Offers lovely views and is back from the road enough to offer a quiet stay. Very friendly owners who provided a wonderful breakfast (the baked beans were delightful!) and all the toiletries you could ask for are provided in the bathrooms.

Another visit to our favourite little B&B, great friendly service again! After arriving early we were let into our room with no problems. Sadly after a long night out celebrating a Family birthday, I sadly missed the great breakfast, but when saying goodbye we were given Yoghurt, juice and Muesli bars! Great service and will be back again!

My friend Fran and I stayed last week (12th to 15th May). Everything about Elm Tree was better than we expected; the beds were excellent for comfort downstairs and upstairs, peaceful sleep. The hosts were very welcoming and looked after us with genuine West Country warmth, as for the breakfast a varied selection when served has the 'wow' factor. When... More

Agree about the steepness of drive but as we were the only residents there was no problem re parking. We were a wedding party of 6 and due to arthritis my husband and I chose the ground floor room - big mistake! - as the bed was only 4feet wide so not a comfortable nights sleep - in fact hardly... Janice, Thank you for this "almost perfect" review. We are so pleased you enjoyed the stunning far reaching views, cleanliness and delicious breakfasts and that you would recommend us. We are however extremely disappointed you did not mention your concern about the size of the bed during the two days of your stay. We could easily have sorted it out... More

Slightly tricky start as our room had been doublebooked but situation handled very professionally by owners and alternative room offered. Slightly dated decor but room & bathroom warm & spotlessly clean. Ditto for dining room.Breakfast selection delicious. Agree with other reviewer that steep driveway could be tricky for fainthearted but parking area at the top sufficient for all guests.

No problem finding this b and b, but the drive is tricky with a bend at its steepest. David asked us to park at right angles to the cliff, which we did, no problems. However, on our second night another guest was parked at an angle, leaving little room for us to manoeuvre in the dark, quite tricky, not good... More

Absolutely loved staying at this quaint spotless cottage. The hosts were very friendly and we had a lovely breakfast. The views are breathtaking from our room. My husband and I will definitely be going back for another stay.

Only stayed here while working in Avonmouth as my usual B&B was booked up. However, I would use this for holidaying in this area. Lovely secluded location. (No traffic noise). If arriving in the dark, slow down when you are close and keep an eye out for the sign at ground level at the foot of the track leading up... More

Following other reviews the drive is a little daunting at first but my husbands ST Fiesta coped fine. View from bedroom was stunning and the view is also a backdrop for the scrummy breakfast. Beautiful décor and welcoming hosts. It was OK to find and there is a very nice pub for evening meals not far away in the village... More

Found this hidden gem, (hidden being the optimum word. It's tucked away up a steep hill. Others have commented on the drive up. But I managed to get my Porsche up the hill easily and happy to do so. Yes it's steep but taking it slow it's not a problem. Nice and clean room. Host friendly and greet you with... More
