We stayed here for two nights in June when we attended a wedding. The previous reviewers are right when they say it's tired and needs a face lift. However, we found the room comfortable and clean. They provided a hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The shower was a bit of a fiddle and the water was a... More

Booked here before reading the online and stupidly stayed AFTER reading them. All I can say is, thank goodness it was for only two nights and not longer. Great location; handy for town and the prom, beautiful vista from the rear sun terrace, but I'm afraid the compliments stop there. View the pics and make your own mind up!

On our way to visit family we stopped for a night in Clevedon. The Highcliffe sounded and looked lovely, but was in fact rather dilapidated with a very uncomfortable bed and a dreadfully poor shower. The staff were curt and no one asked if we had enjoyed our stay. We would not stay here again, although the town itself was... More

We were attending a wedding at Clevdon Hall, the money we saved on taxi fares compared to other members of our family who were staying elsewhere (Premier Inn) was a big plus, so if you deduct the £12 each way taxi fare that they paid from your hotel accommodation, it was great value for money. It was a 10/15 min... More

Just stayed at The Highcliffe hotel and found that the room we stayed in needed a good clean, I know its old but that does not excuse the fact that the underside of the bed has not seen a vacuum cleaner for sometime. The walls were grubby and needed a wash down to remove grime ,around the toilet flushing lever again... we live in clevedon but vacated our house so our daughter could have a "house party".we paid £65 for a double room with breakfast. we received a warm welcome, and our money was not taken until we left in the morning. The Highcliffe has a lovely view of the channel and my vegetarian breakfast was lush, but i struggle to say... More

Hotel very warm and comfortable with a lovely view out to sea. Very old fashioned but retains Victorian charm. The lady Owner lacked any kind of friendliness, no smiles, no eye contact, just give us your money and go.

A small well positioned hotel, it had free parking in front and elevated sea views from our quiet bedroom and the dining room at the rear. It has no "boutique" pretensions but with soap, shampoo and good towels for the bathroom and tea/coffee tray along with a comfortable bed and table and chairs in the bedroom, it was ideal for... We had a reasonable stay at the Highcliffe and would perhaps give them a second chance if ever we returned to Clevedon. There is free parking, It's got some great views. It's only a short walk to seafront places to eat and the pier (but uphill coming back). It is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was good.... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as was working in the area. The hotel is very old. I reckon roughly as old as Moses. The floors creak in every room, the doors don't quite fit the frames and basically everything is just old. BUT, it's clean, really clean. The old doors that don't fit the frames are painted, all the... More
