Had a room on the front of hotel 4 poster bed excellent room, but expect slight noise as you are on the front of the hotel on the high street, staff really friendly , excellent food, brilliant seperate bar attached to hotel , good atmosphere , TV screens etc in there. Very clean and excellent value , would defiantly recommend... More

This traditional English hotel is situated in the centre of Bridgwater, an ideal position for excursions to the sights of northern Somerset, such as Chedder Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury, Cadbury, and the coast with its resorts Burnham-on-Sea, Lynmouth, Porlock, and Minehead. The hotel itself is as its name suggests an attractive Elizabethan building and with a winding maze of corridors which... More

This is a nice hotel for the price. Food is very good, and service excellent. However staying in rooms on street side can be noisy at night. Double glazing would help. The restaurant is a little bit dark and dingy, there's not a lot of daylight. For the price it is excellent, rooms are comfortable, on-suite bathrooms quite new .... More

Stayed for one night on a Saturday in April, a very warm welcome, we were shown our room which was clean but somewhat basic. The hotel is quirky but we would have preferred something with a few more frills. I am loathe to criticise the hotel but guests should be aware that facilities are limited. We ate dinner in the... Quirky must be an anagram of Tudor! They don't come quirkier than this 17th century hotel! Any movement through the building becomes an adventure in serendipity. Stair cases go up and then suddenly descend; doors open on to landings which confront the visitor with more choices of staircases or doors! For the able bodied this can be great fun but... More

We were lucky enough to stay at this hotel for carnival weekend, We arrived on Friday lunchtime and shown where to park our car. Our room was lovely, situated at the back of the hotel looking over a central courtyard - oh good! we thought a nice quiet room however that was not the case, as the hotels night club... More

On arrival we were taken up to our room - Room 14 (which is also the honeymoon suite). This was up in the eaves and along a maze of corridors! It was OK as we only had overnight baggage. The double room was comfortable with a full size wardrobe and modern ensuite. There was a small wall mirror. The walls... More
