Tynte arms has four rooms set at the side of this traditional village pub. Large room comfy twin beds, big bathroom plenty of heating. Tea and coffee small tv plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. Lovely home cooked meals prepared to your liking, great value and if in that area again would stay again the hosts were helpful and friendly

Stayed here overnight and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent accommodation and great pub food. Its not the Ritz but its not the pits either. Its a simple country Inn that has about four "motel style" letting rooms all clean and well furnished. The food in the pub alongside the rooms is just like you imagine pub food should... More

We were camping nearby and visited this pub on a Saturday lunchtime, we were 3 adults and one 7 month old baby (who was asleep the whole time we were there). When we walked into the pub with a pram the landlords first words to us were 'Is that a baby?' I don't know what he was expecting us to... More

My wife and I ate there back in the summer and enjoyed an excellent meal. A colleague in the village suggested I stay there and I was not disappointed. The rooms are very comfortable and warm, especially considering that during my stay we had rain, sleet, hail and snow. The shower is in a wet room and worked very well.... More

I stayed at the Tynte Arms this summer when working in Bridgwater and returned again last weekend after an great experience the first time. It was no different on this occasion. The accomodation is spacious and clean and located in this charming little village. The shower was the best I've experienced in a hotel for a long time! The landlord/lady... More

My extended family and I were all attending a wedding in the area and had three rooms booked here. We found Peter and the staff really accommodating and found the rooms spotless and comfy to match. Best of all was the breakfast the following morning, a first-rate English breakfast to get us on our merry way again. We really would... More

Our party of 8 responsible adults from 3 generations (so no children to annoy him as other reviewers have mentioned) all couldn't believe how rude and ignorant this landlord was. If I spoke to my clients as he did to us then I would be out of a job. He doesn't deserve any business at all and if anybody gets... More

We had been warned not to come here, and read the reviews on here so we had made a decision to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately the only other place to eat in the village was closed so we had no choice. With trepidation we entered the pub and could see the landlord standing behind the bar. He looked as if he... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Tynte Arms recently and were a little wary after reading both excellent and poor reviews on Tripacdvisor. However, we found everything faultless, the rooms, the hosts and staff, not to mention the high quality food. My husband and I thought the salad and delicious dressing was one of the best we'd eaten in any... More

Visited with a group of 9 on Monday evening and we had our food orders quickly taken and drinks swiftly served.. We each placed different orders and all were served, piping hot and in good time. All of us thought the food was very tasty and well presented and pretty good value with separate portions of chips & veg dished... More
