The hotel is located close to centre thou it opposite it a church it very nice. The car is tight as you have to go through an archway. The property itself as character and rooms are clean. The staff were attentive and very efficient with check in and at breakfast as was cooked to order which good. The bar has... More

Don't be fooled by the photographs! This is the worst place I have ever stayed in.Room smelt awful, musty dirty old furniture, lumpy bed, curtains falling off pole and strange scurrying noises in the night.

If you want 5 star luxury then this isn't the place for you, but at the price you wouldn't expect it! If you want a clean, comfortable room in an old historical building full of olde world charm then this is it. Yes some areas could do with a lick of paint and some carpeted areas need attention but this is... More

Ok hotel in the centre of Bridgwater, obviously at the side of the big church. This is an old property with character and rooms are in the main building and an annexe to the rear, Car parking is through a very tight arch way. As I said the building is old and I dont think there was a even floor... More

I just cannot fault this lovely little hotel. I understand it has recently changed hands, I don't know what the previous owner was like, but the new one was the most charming host you could imagine. The building is a superb late medieval house right opposite the church, with a fabulous old interior, and lovely gardens. Our room was immaculate,... More

We were greeted by the lovely Norbert who was very welcoming. We paid for parking in the courtyard and the door to our room was only a few steps away, perfect for unloading. Although the vicarage is next to a weatherspoons, we asked for a quite room and we didn't hear any noise at all and I'm a light sleeper!!... More

Stayed in this hotel for two nights, the character is fab, the man behind the desk is the most helpful ever! Would definitely stay again and recommend! The food was lovely and well presented, recommend the four poster room, it's spacious and airy! Really enjoyed our stay here!

Stayed here for 2nights for a family party. Had booked two rooms initially for myself and my partner and my mum and dad. Bit of confusion as one of the rooms had been cancelled by the proprietor who had assumed one of the rooms was booked in error. The lady who booked us in couldn't have been more helpful. Fortunately... More

It's quirky and old and has a charm that you don't expect . The parking is free on the road outside after 6pm and all day Sunday if you can't get into the car park which isn't large. Our room was on the first floor and if I had to be honest was ugly ! The wardrobe was of plastic... More

I stayed in Room 7 in the annex, which I loved. It's by no means immaculate, but it's packed with charm. The stairs are very steep so it's worth asking management about access issues, and I swear there's not a flat floorboard in the place, but to me that just adds to the magic! It's clearly a very historic building... More
