Far too many problems to list them all, but here are a few. Stayed in room No4. Carpet stained and dirty, curtains were not properly attached to rail, bed springs were broken on side nearest door, shower tray had sunk by approx one inch, one bedside lamp had a very low voltage bulb installed and the other had no bulb... The fixtures and fittings in my room looked if they had been made in the seventies and acquired from a charity shop. The pictures had faded just as the once white net curtains transformed into a dirty grey. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower good. Breakfast was adequate. The place needs a fresh coat of light coloured paint... More

I have recently stayed in this Hotel which has started a renovation plan. The room was clean and comfortable with all tea and coffee making facilities, on the ground floor overlooking what I called a secret garden..... The breakfast, included in the price, was first class and the food, cooked as ordered, was appetising : the menu included smoked salmon,... More

We stayed in this hotel just for one night as we were house hunting in the Somerset area. It looked very nice from the website. The car park was very small and very tight getting in and out. We had to park outside as there was no room in their car park and luckily as we were there late we... More

The hotel is located close to centre thou it opposite it a church it very nice. The car is tight as you have to go through an archway. The property itself as character and rooms are clean. The staff were attentive and very efficient with check in and at breakfast as was cooked to order which good. The bar has... More

Don't be fooled by the photographs! This is the worst place I have ever stayed in.Room smelt awful, musty dirty old furniture, lumpy bed, curtains falling off pole and strange scurrying noises in the night.

If you want 5 star luxury then this isn't the place for you, but at the price you wouldn't expect it! If you want a clean, comfortable room in an old historical building full of olde world charm then this is it. Yes some areas could do with a lick of paint and some carpeted areas need attention but this is... More

Ok hotel in the centre of Bridgwater, obviously at the side of the big church. This is an old property with character and rooms are in the main building and an annexe to the rear, Car parking is through a very tight arch way. As I said the building is old and I dont think there was a even floor... More

I just cannot fault this lovely little hotel. I understand it has recently changed hands, I don't know what the previous owner was like, but the new one was the most charming host you could imagine. The building is a superb late medieval house right opposite the church, with a fabulous old interior, and lovely gardens. Our room was immaculate,... More

We were greeted by the lovely Norbert who was very welcoming. We paid for parking in the courtyard and the door to our room was only a few steps away, perfect for unloading. Although the vicarage is next to a weatherspoons, we asked for a quite room and we didn't hear any noise at all and I'm a light sleeper!!... More
