Stayed here for one night. Had nice room in annex - top floor. Building is very old, floor is uneven - but I love it. It is the nature of old buildings that have been updated to inns. Room and bath were clean and comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were really surprised at the quality of the... More

In Bridgwater for a concert in the church right across the road. Room was warm and clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Hotel has a lot of character and is very central to the town.

Very nice room, clean and tidy. Full of character. Very convenient for town centre yet quiet when in annexe. a little expensive but good none the less. Our room was in the annexe so haveno knowledge of noise level in hotel itself but lovely and quiet in annexe even though in town centre, even with the window open (as wee... More

Stayed here with some colleagues for one night as we were holding a business event in nearby Burrowbridge (20 minutes). Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Just wish I'd been here with the family to enjoy such a nice place.

The staff were fantastic, helpful and very friendly. We stayed in the family suite - lounge area with a single bed, bedroom with double bed and a single, a dressing room and a bathroom. The children, both young teenagers, were seriously impressed that there were TVs in both rooms!! Rooms very clean although decor/furniture a little shabby. Beds were all... More

Stayed here overnight on our way to Cornwall. Found very easily, parking available and we paid £7.50 to reserve a space. Our room was a family suite, comprising a lounge area with a single bed, separate bedroom with double and single beds, a dressing room and bathroom. Very old building so everything was a little wonky but this just added... More

Fairly old-fashioned but what's not to like? Spacious room and everything clean. Really good breakfast with proper field mushrooms (a benchmark) and friendly, accommodating service. Lovely garden and excellent location. Brilliant view of church across the road. Not for people who want trendy or 'corporate'. Definitely for those who want reality and character. Not excellent as pillows need updating but... More

Really happy to give praise for the old vicarage, the breakfast was excellent, the Somerset room large with a great and comfy bed, excellent service from the young man who was the manager, who worked extreemly hard to make our stay a pleasure ,and suceeded good view across the to the church, and not noisy at all. could not say... This is the second time I have stayed at The Old Vicarage and I had another enjoyable stay. The property is full of character, breakfast cooked fresh and plentiful, the team are very friendly and accommodating. I will stay again if down in Bridgwater again.

I booked the hotel through Booking.com for a 1 night stay on the 11/8/14. Its an old building which I can make exceptions for, but the standard is appalling. The room was filthy. Stains on walls, cobwebs on walls, carpet covered in "spots", mattress was old and tired. The room (downstairs, opposite reception) was incredibly noisy, the room above sounded... More
