The manager was friendly and welcoming at this unusual hotel which as others have said is very well located in the centre of Bridgwater. The room was big, with a large seating area with an armchair, settee and single bed and a TV, the bedroom also of a good size with a double bed and a single bed and TV,... More

The location is very good - right in the heart of the town. The room was disappointing and not worth the £77 charged (I've been to far nicer hotels across the country which cost less). My room was very small, but the décor on first impressions looked OK. When taking a closer look the room was not as clean as... More

Located in the heart of Bridgwater, the Old Vicarage lies across the street from St. Mary's Church. During our 5 night stay, the Old Vicarage provided a convenient and warm room that was a 2-3 minute walk from Fore Street, a nice walking street with many shops. The close proximity of restaurants, Morrison's Grocery, and stores all give the Old... More

Stayed here for one night. Had nice room in annex - top floor. Building is very old, floor is uneven - but I love it. It is the nature of old buildings that have been updated to inns. Room and bath were clean and comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were really surprised at the quality of the... More

In Bridgwater for a concert in the church right across the road. Room was warm and clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Hotel has a lot of character and is very central to the town.

Very nice room, clean and tidy. Full of character. Very convenient for town centre yet quiet when in annexe. a little expensive but good none the less. Our room was in the annexe so haveno knowledge of noise level in hotel itself but lovely and quiet in annexe even though in town centre, even with the window open (as wee... More

Stayed here with some colleagues for one night as we were holding a business event in nearby Burrowbridge (20 minutes). Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Just wish I'd been here with the family to enjoy such a nice place.

The staff were fantastic, helpful and very friendly. We stayed in the family suite - lounge area with a single bed, bedroom with double bed and a single, a dressing room and a bathroom. The children, both young teenagers, were seriously impressed that there were TVs in both rooms!! Rooms very clean although decor/furniture a little shabby. Beds were all... More

Stayed here overnight on our way to Cornwall. Found very easily, parking available and we paid £7.50 to reserve a space. Our room was a family suite, comprising a lounge area with a single bed, separate bedroom with double and single beds, a dressing room and bathroom. Very old building so everything was a little wonky but this just added... More

Fairly old-fashioned but what's not to like? Spacious room and everything clean. Really good breakfast with proper field mushrooms (a benchmark) and friendly, accommodating service. Lovely garden and excellent location. Brilliant view of church across the road. Not for people who want trendy or 'corporate'. Definitely for those who want reality and character. Not excellent as pillows need updating but... More
