This was ; by some margin, the worst place i have ever stayed and ,. on that basis, also very expensive. Staff very young and basically could care less, owner sitting in the parrot ridden bar with extraordinarily greased stained chefs covers, The room was a haven of spiders webs, old and new and a collection of their architects, both... My colleagues had arrived earlier, as I was greeted by a rather surly lady I was immediately told "fill in this card, the restaurants shut and the bar shuts at 10". Delightful after 4 1/2 drive. The bar is a tired old looking pub. Outside is a building site. At 10.45 we are actually told that "It's time to go... More

We stayed here for two nights, it was out first time travelling with our baby so I was a little anxious to say the least. The room was lovely and spacious and they had provided a cot (even though I had one with me). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, heating food, washing up baby dishes etc. This is... More

Left it to the last minute to book an overnight for a business trip and was gratefully surprised. About half a mile from Junction 24 on the M5 (do not follow sat nav...it's sign posted). Out in the countryside and over the famous canal here you find it. The back overlooks the railway line and the front pleasant fields, with... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The landlord friendly and caring. Rooms newly furnished and spotless. Situated in country by canal with interesting walks. We highly recommend this Inn. Cost reasonable.

The canal side location sells this hotel online. It appears for all intent and purposes the ideal booking at a decent price. It is easily found even though it is down some country lanes. The room was clean. It's only major advantage of being very close to the M5 is that next day we were up, packed and away post... More

We stayed for one night on our way from the Plymouth ferry to the North East. Travelodge was full and we got a leaflet from the very helpful receptionist there. The food was very good, the bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. Nice area, by a canal with nice towpath walks. Staff were pleasant as was the... More

Stayed a couple of nights here with some family - things didn't start well when we arrived and were greeted with 'yes?' - a very unfriendly and disinterested member of staff! Over the next couple of days we found lots of little things wrong, dirty spots in the rooms (i left the dead spider in the soap dish just out... More
