Stayed for one night to see the spectacular carnival and couldn't have felt more welcome! Very friendly staff who offered to help arrange taxis although we discovered that walking down the canal only takes half an hour anyway! Definitely recommend it! Big thank you and a special hug to my favourite sausage dog!

Great place to stay. Really friendly staff making you feel welcome. Good food and drink with a variety of choice also for the vegetarian. The rooms are nice and basic, above average compared to the rooms I've stayed in with my work taking me all over the UK.

Its a basic place, the rooms were basic and a little unkept but nice. The staff were polite. The food was okay. It is right by the motorway and a railway but this didnt disturb any of us. Overall it gave us a place to stay and there was nothing overly bad about it but we probably wouldn't choose it... More

We stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago. The main reason for our visit was to break our journey. The location was ideal for this as it is just minutes off the motorway. Our dinner was good - one had had steak and the other lamb shank. Both well cooked and very tasty. Breakfast was adequate but not brilliant. Staff were... More

Where go I start !!! It's right next to the MOTORWAY, so keep your windows shut. It's right next to a RAILWAY LINE and CROSSING, so you have sirens going every 15 mins .It might be next to a canal, but we had a eye level view of a driveway and hedge. We paid for an upgraded room, it was... More

We called in for a meal on the way to Cornwall. We ordered sausage and onion baguette and scampi and chips. The sausage was the cheapest catering sausage and the onions tasted odd and vinegary. The scampi was cheap reconstituted scampi. However the chips were ok! The meals were not cheap and we expected a quality meal for the price.... More

I stayed here recently with a business college and we arrived late and night and had a very warm welcome. Our rooms very very clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable and the shower was very powerful, just what you need for an overnight stay. Breakfast next morning was hot and tasty. The hotel is on a lovely... More

Nothing about the place was good. Some things were acceptable, but they hardly made up for the dirty room, the vile breakfast, the surly manager. When we saw it framed under the motorway bridge we knew we had made a mistake. I told the manager that we didn't want to stay there, it would be too noisy. He already had... More

This was ; by some margin, the worst place i have ever stayed and ,. on that basis, also very expensive. Staff very young and basically could care less, owner sitting in the parrot ridden bar with extraordinarily greased stained chefs covers, The room was a haven of spiders webs, old and new and a collection of their architects, both...
