Took my dad out for a meal to celebrate his 76th Birthday. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. Had no complaints at all and would definitely return for either family or business.

I travel a lot with work and stay in hotels frequently but this hotel had a unique feel about it. The manager Mark, is a proper "old school" gent with an excellent attention to detail and he is supported well by his partner Christina who is genuine, friendly and helpful. A guest here can enjoy great food in relaxed, welcoming... More

Just popped in on the way back from Glastonbury & was very pleased we did. After reading the menu, (which was very full) I spied one of my favorite meals, 'Mussels'. Not only were these mussels big & chunky but, to many to count. The flavor was real seaside - fresh & a delight to eat. The chunks of different... More

My wife stayed here for just one night. The room was comfortable, clean and very warm. The shower was excellent. Our room had excellent views across the Somerset Levels to the hills beyond. The bar and restaurant looked newly decorated. Dinner was very good but, I thought, a little expensive (although, to be fair; this was balanced by the price... More

we booked here for one night as we were shopping at the Clarke's outlet village near by, we were not expecting much given the reviews we had seen (now know to be utter rubbish!) yes the property shuts from 3 - 5 but if you contact them before arrival they are more than accommodating for you to pick up the... I choose this venue to take my husband for his birthday. We arrived around 6pm and it was lovely and calm. The staff greeting us where brilliant, the chef/owner very accommodating to my husbands fussy taste buds! Very reasonably priced and the room we had was very homely and comfortable. The only negative point was that when other guests slammed... More

Service is attentive - the flatbread was the star of the show - drinks were reasonably priced but I had fish cakes with salad & chips. Fishcakes didn't look homemade and were very potatoey - the salad was just a pile of leaves with one tiny tomato - could so easily do better

We enjoyed our stay here and found the staff really friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. The owner was a lovely chap too. The room we had was nice enough, in need of a little tlc but nothing I would worry about. I am sure we will be back.
