Having just returned from a week at The Olive Mill I am still reflecting on the experience. The curtain rail fell down every morning; the shower hose managed to choke itself of water for two days, the breakfast service is unusually late - 8 am start and they ran out of ice, ice cream and one lager. However, the food... More

This is a soulless motel,. You do as you are told. Book in at 5 and not before. Breakfast between 8 and 9 be there or no breakfast. Staff good and bad. Breakfast waitress could not be bothered to speak. I felt uncomfortable she was rushing us all the time . Enjoy the view ? just eat your breakfast and... More

We have been here for a meal on a couple of occasions now and the staff are always friendly and helpful. No matter what I have ordered off the menu it has always been delicious and presented beautifully.

If you really like good food, if you want to choose from a really interesting menu, if you want good service, if you want comfortable surroundings, then go to The Olive Mill. Easy parking and the sea food soup is to die for, my absolute favourite. Hurray for a family run business.

Stopped for a lunch and opted for the lunch deal. Good value at £10.00 for two courses, Pate was tasty but the lumps and i mean brickettes of bread where almost impossible to enjoy without hurting my lips. My friend had the garlic mushrooms which are just that no breads etc. I had the cauliflower cheese with chips, it was... More

We were looking for lunch on our way to a holiday weekend and were quite late for lunch. We received a very warm welcome nevertheless and ordered from the lunch menu. Both starters and both mains were absolutely wonderful we can certainly highly recommend it. I ordered the fish and chips and surprisingly the haddock arrived un-battered but was so... More

Looking at the website, the billed as luxury accommodation seemed perfect for an overnight stay. When we arrived the girl at reception was very friendly and took us to our room, but as we walked up the stairs it smelt musty already and a bit dingy. The door to our room was thin plywood and didn't shut easily; inside can... More

I arrived at the Olive Mill at 16.10 in the afternoon and the place was closed. After telephoning the reservation number I was told that they did not open until 17.00 but that someone would come and let me in. The reception I received from the lady who opened the door was frosty and most unwelcoming. I had obviously disturbed... More
