Nestled among the mountains and lakes is Dolffanog Fawr. We were greeted by our hosts Lorraine and Alex, who have created this wonderful b&b in Wales. There is so much to say about this gem. Alex and Lorraine are congenial, warm, and friendly hosts. The rooms are comfortable, super clean, and modern. We had views of the lake and hills... More

Stayed here for two nights with friends , the accommodation , food , service and the hosts are absolutely excellent. This place is a real hidden gem and one which we wish to revisit.I imagine it would be difficult to find a more friendly an welcoming guest house.

Lovely accommodation, Alex and Lorraine are the perfect hosts and make you feel like a part of the family whilst you are there. The food is top notch and... More

My partner simply had a fantastic bank holiday weekend here. Alex and Lorraine really provide an excellent experience and balance each other perfectly. Meals are provided by Lorraine, with a full breakfast provided plus various cereals and jams, many of which are homemade. I would definitely recommend joining the evening meal at least once as the food was exceptional. My... More

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic weekend away with some very good friends at this beautiful B&B which also provides evening meal if you wish to partake. This is our 3rd visit in the past 12 months and it never fails to impress. Once again the food was excellent, Alex and Lorraine the proprietors were charming,... More

Just returned from a two night stay over the bank holiday weekend. Everything about the guest house is cosy, comfortable and friendly. The food is delicious. Very nice to eat around the dining table with the other guests, encourages everybody to get to know one another and adds to the experience. Our big dog was as welcome as we were.... More

We have just returned from this wonderful guest house tucked away by Tal-y-llyn. The accommodation was first class and sleep quality was fantastic - quiet and restful. The lounge was very comfortable with a large array of reading material - both local and national. The dining area was lovely - I particularly liked the set up - all eight dining... More

Outstanding in every respect. Extremely comfortable rooms, a guests lounge, Lorraine's wonderful cooking, Alex's helpfulness and knowledge of the locality, magnificent views and easy to find on the edge of the lake. Fabulous.

Literally stumbled across this at the very last minute and what an amazing stumble it was. Beautiful B&B in a stunning part of the world and the whole experience was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.

Beautiful place to stay at the gateway to Cader Idris and Llyn Tal-y-llyn, the former a wonderful climb and the latter a very popular lake for sea trout fishing. Alex and Lorraine are excellent hosts who have vast local knowledge about what, when and where to enjoy the outdoors and experience the best of Snowdonia! The service is very personal... More
