I was here for a photo shoot and was impressed from the outside of the building. The dining area is lovely and bar ok but dated a little. The grounds are stunning which makes up fit poor rooms. Damp and cracks on walls. Dated decor and beds are not the best. Looks rather 70's and not to my taste. A... More

Like many, from the sounds of it, I wasn't expecting much either. However, the staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded upon arrival possibly as a room was available. The hotel is dated and does need major overhauling, particularly where there are obviously rotten windows.. We had a poster bed, which was comfy. They do need... More

This was our 2nd stay and it will be our last. The first time we stayed we had no issues which was why my partner booked us in for a night and a table booked for dinner as it was our anniversary. The room we were given was a classic room has they told us they were busy and this... More

To be honest I wasn't expecting much after reading previous reviews, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised. We had a 1 night stay and staff we're brilliant and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable . We arrived with our baby and had been placed upstairs, the very kind lady on reception relocated us to a ground floor... More

We stayed here back in August; It was a birthday present where we had been booked into a four poster room. Prior to our visit we had seen a lot of reviews saying the hotel looked tired and needed work, but when we walked into our room all I could think was how grand it all looked. It was classically... A wonderful setting and fantastic staff but hotel in dire need of money been spent to update rooms. Could be a goldmine if investment made. Beds desperately need renewing as lumpy and old. TV didn't work at all and was told hardly any of them do!! Staff are wonderful and will do anything. Bar food and breakfast were freshly cooked... More

Our room (manor) was spacious, clean and comfortable.Breakfast was superb and reception gave us plenty of suggestions as to where to visit.An... More

Our small family group stayed here for 2 nights B&B. The standard our room was really quite good, if a little on the small side, but adequate, We did not have a bath but the shower was efficient enough, although did run cold on our last morning. Everything was clean enough, although clearly the use of a steam cleaner could... More
