We stayed here for one night recently and although really looking forward to our first night away with a new baby, I'm sad to say I felt a bit let down. The room, although large was a weird mix of old fashioned and an attempt at 'up to date' decor which resulted in a mish mash of colours and styles.... More

We held a 30th birthday for my son on Friday (12th Dec), we were only a small party being 14 of us so we had the Brooke Suite to ourselves. There was a party night on elsewhere in the hotel but it never interfered with our dinner at all. Right from the arrival of me first with one of my... More

Well what can I say! What a truly welcoming, warm and fantastic place to stay. The food is first rate with layout and taste that would rival many top resturants - but at much better value! The staff are extremely pleasant and more than willing to assist in making your stay very pleasant. To top it off both a fantastic... More

We came here for our 14th wedding anniversary, and on arrival the building looks very impressive. Inside it's your quaint, wood panelled decor which is very nice. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and accommodating. Food was very good, tasty and enjoyable and breakfast was plentiful. We wanted poached eggs and upon asking they were produced perfectly cooked. We also... More

Booked for Christmas lunch after a lovely meal last year with a dozen dancers from our weekly class. I developed flu on the morning of the lunch and phoned to say I could not go. Since I had already paid, I asked for a credit to go again. They would not agree and I just lost the money. I thought... More

I stayed here for one night only as I was attending a conference in Telford. The building is very impressive when you drive up to it and my initial impressions were good. However, I had a room in the new part of the building, it was clean but quite cold, tatty and tired. It desperately needs updating, it smells damp... More

I was here for a photo shoot and was impressed from the outside of the building. The dining area is lovely and bar ok but dated a little. The grounds are stunning which makes up fit poor rooms. Damp and cracks on walls. Dated decor and beds are not the best. Looks rather 70's and not to my taste. A... More

Like many, from the sounds of it, I wasn't expecting much either. However, the staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded upon arrival possibly as a room was available. The hotel is dated and does need major overhauling, particularly where there are obviously rotten windows.. We had a poster bed, which was comfy. They do need... More

This was our 2nd stay and it will be our last. The first time we stayed we had no issues which was why my partner booked us in for a night and a table booked for dinner as it was our anniversary. The room we were given was a classic room has they told us they were busy and this... More
