Went for a friends wedding. Everyone paid £80 but because I booked online it cost me £100. I was then told the discount doesn't apply for online booking. The bottle of water in my room was open and 1/4 empty but I managed to get it swapped after telling the receptionist only twice. Toilet was broken, wouldn't flush and loudly... More

A greatr spa hotel BUT This has to be the worst restaurant in the UK and in all honesty that is doing no justice to the second worse. Stay at the hotel by all means. Do NOT eat at the Waterside Restaurant and Bar which is part of the complex. Whoever thinks that serving food like this is acceptable really... More

Went with a friend on an overnight voucher, wish it had been for longer. We had a wonderful time. The voucher was for dinner, B & B and use of the leisure centre. The food was fantastic, especially in the restaurant of the hotel, a bit 'overpriced' in the leisure centre, we should have got there earlier for the salad... More

Lion Quays hotel and spa are next to the A5 and alongside the Llangollen canal. The Leisure and spa facilities are in a separate building from the hotel and are large, impressive and very popular. The hotel is big enough to be impersonal but the staff so friendly that that does not happen. The restaurant overlooks the boat moorings and... More

I recently went here on a special offer spa day with friends. The staff on arrival were extremely helpful and friendly. We had use of all facilities plus afternoon tea and a glass of bubbles as part of the package and you couldn't fault any of it. Definitely recommend it :-)

Maybe we were just unfortunate, but when I book into a four-star hotel, I like hot water in the basin and for a good shower. Not so the first night as it was stone cold or if it was warm, it went straight away to cold. Not nice if trying to have a shower with soap on your face and... More

We had coffee in nico's upstairs as they don't serve coffee in the spa area. Lunch was a buffet style , included in our package , lovely food .. Short staffed thou ..... More

We chose this hotel for it's location next to the canal for the idyllic walks in the area. The spa facility was excellent. The swimming pool was beautiful and we were lucky enough, probably due to the time we visited (February) and the time in the morning we decided to swim, to have the facility completely to ourselves. We made... More

Hotel is not bad if you book the superior rooms. Not sure what others are like but for the price 123.00 pounds for double room with breakfast was steep. I had to move room as I heard chatting from next door. So quietest rooms are on top (3rd floor) but that means you lose lovely balcony with table and chairs... More

My Daughter booked this for my birthday, it was on a special offer [Afternoon Tea] for 2 people. We had a really relaxing time but I was disappointed when we didn't have our treatments at the same time. That meant we were on our own for about an hour and half. We knew we couldn't have the treatments in the... More
