Managed to get a late deal at the Hotel and stayed a Saturday night. A wonderful County Hotel with a very welcoming lounge and real fire! The Terrace room was excellent and very handy for the bar and restaurant! A well stocked bar with locally brewed bottled beers. It is easy to see why the Restaurant has numerous awards! An... More

This is the fourth time we have visited this hotel and we are never disappointed. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the breakfast substantial. It is a place to get away and relax. The view from your room is enough to strip away many tensions whether it is summer or as in our latest trip with a dusting... More

We have just returned from a one night stay away, we really wish we could of stayed longer! My husband booked here for a one night stay for us, and all we can say is wow, wow, wow! From the initial communication to make the booking to leaving, we have been made to feel special! We found the hotel easily... More

We visited the Pen-y-Dyffryn for New Year and it was a most enjoyable experience. Miles and Audrey were excellent hosts and the food, as always, was superb. New Year's Eve itself started with a champagne reception and canapés, followed by a leisurely six course dinner with more champagne to see in the New Year. My dog slept through the whole... More

This review is a few months old (apologies) but I had to write one. My partner and I tend to have a few weekends away each year and early in 2014, we were on the look out for a cosy retreat with great food and that is exactly what we found. We were so welcomed from the moment we arrived.... More

Settled in the valleys to the west of Oswestry, this hotel is a wee gem. The food is excellent with the menu changing every day. Very comfortable both for the bedrooms (with fairly high tech bathroom) or the communal rooms. We went in December with roaring fires every afternoon. Catered well for celiacs too.

A lovely country house hotel where the owners have developed a great balance of luxury but comfortable and attentiveness of all the staff but not overwhelming. We went on a midweek pamper break which included three nights break in an upgrade room (The Rose Room) which was very comfortable with three breakfasts and three 4 course dinners. The chef should... We booked a two-night break at he end of October to celebrate our (41st) wedding anniversary and brought along our little dog who has been with us for thirteen of those years! She would have loved to take advantage of the wonderful walking opportunities that abound from the doorstep of this lovely, welcoming small hotel. Room was excellent, meals superb... More

A homely welcoming hotel in a great location. Great walks from the front door. Food was good and rooms pleasant. Staff were brilliant especially Katie who's professional courteous attitude made our stay even more special.
