We and our dog have just had another wonderful stay at P-y-D. We visit year after year and it is consistently outstanding. The rooms with outside dog-proof terraces are ideal for human and canine guests. The staff are efficient, cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. The owners friendly, available and effective. The food is exemplary. The gardens and view... More

We have just returned from a three night stay at the hotel. This was our second visit and both time the owners, Miles and Audrey were most welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful and the chef is obviously a great asset to them. The hotel is set in a beautiful area of the country with plenty of places to visit... More

This is an excellent option for a quiet country break. There are walks in the countryside around the hotel and you are just four miles and a ten minute drive from Oswestry. We booked a premium room in what felt like the old stables, so not in the main building, with a patio and a view out over the valley.... More

We have just returned from a couple of nights stay and have to say we weren't overly impressed for the price paid. We booked for two nights though outside circumstances dictated that we actually had to leave after dinner on the second night, so only spent one night in the room. The room was ok, though the bed wasn't particularly... More

We booked to stay here for three nights in April and we were not disappointed. It certainly is a little gem and the location is stunning. We stayed in the 'Blue room' overlooking the garden and whilst the en-suite was not one of the largest it certainly was well fitted and very clean. There was plenty of space for our... More

Pen Y Dyffryn is a good hotel, let me make that clear right away.Last time we stayed I gave it a 5 star rating.but cannot this time. The best room is the Champagne room, although you do get some noise from the kitchens as they prep food ,and also the door to the upper courtyard rooms is noisy. I cannot comment on... More

After reading the previous reviews of this hotel we decided to book for a two night stay. We were not disappointed. The hotel is located in a beautiful area with stunning views across the valley and has ample outdoor seating from which to enjoy the view. Onarrival as part of the package we were served a little afternoon tea, which was... More

we stayed here for one night and liked it so much that we have booked to go back for a longer break. The room was spotless with fabulous views, comfortable beds and piping hot water. The staff were delightful and extremely helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious We can't wait for our next stay.

a lovely cosy and comfortable hotel. Very friendly staff, very thoughtful little touches. Amazing food and service. Lovely situation in Shropshire but close to Welsh border. Would certainly reccomend this hotel.

Where do I start? My husband and I have just returned from a four day break with old friends - a party of fourteen. The hotel and staff are so welcoming and can not do enough to help you. On arrival we were given tea and scones which was just what we wanted after a long and difficult journey. Each... More
