Excellent service - I booked our visit to coincide with a friend's significant surprise birthday party through an on line booking agent; without the right to cancel. Realising I had got the wrong date I rang the hotel up and they were very helpful in enabling me to change the date so I didn't lose any money. We liked the... More

Room was very good and facilities excellent. Associated Wine and Real Ale Bars added a lot to the experience. However, breakfast was average and although we could have the bar menu in the restaurant, the main menu was overpriced, the portion sizes were poor and turned a top of the market price to an overpriced menu as well. Advice is... More

Stayed on a Saturday night with my partner, location, great and near a lovely park and the town. Room disappointing. No lifts, up three flights, a large room but badly designed, the door opened onto a chair which we struggled to get past. Not even bottled water in the room, or a decent hairdryer that worked well. Compared to the... More

Pretty much everything about this hotel was all you could wish for. Great staff in particular on Reception and the girls who worked in the restaurant. High quality food both for dinner and breakfast. Excellent pool and spa. Not quite full marks however. The pool is in a separate building 50 yards from the hotel so you have to change... More

Hotel is situated in the middle of the town, but the rooms are more to the rear than the front so not too much noise from the road. Rooms are a good size and hotel staff are most welcoming. Ample car parking to rear of hotel. Stairs up to rooms and no elevators so a bit of a struggle with... More

This hotel has no lifts up to the rooms, a lot of elderly book this place and a few seem to struggle on the steep stairs, they do have what they call a suite or coach house which is ok a bigger room than the small rooms in the main building but at a price that does not match what... More

Second visit, stayed with a friend for a birthday getaway and had a wonderful time. Room was fairly standard nice room on second floor - quite a few stairs but we're both fairly fit so didn't bother us (the elderly may struggle!). It was incredibly hot overnight but I think that was due to freak hot weather and heating being... More

For £30 each (offer) my daughter and I had a lovely neck, shoulder and back massage, nail file and polish, full use of the pool, steam room and sauna plus a lovely afternoon tea. Can't say fairer than that! Staff were very friendly especially the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble. There were lots of people in for lunch... More

We stayed here in April 2015 around the bank holiday with our two small children (aged 2&4). What stood out enormously was how accommodating and great the staff were with the children. The first night we decided to eat in the bar after a swim. When we got back from the pool the lovely waiter (Dan) had a table laid... More

I booked into the Wynnstay because it was recommended as being the best hotel in Oswestry. I looked on their website and saw their statement ‘Luxury Four Start Accommodation’ and tried to book a room. Perhaps I should have been wary when the ‘Book a Room or Check Availability’ link directed me to ‘Page not found. It may have moved... More
