It would be difficult to find a better B&B. A great welcome, great food, friendly service, clean and spacious room. A dabulous location next to the canal with relaxing abd calming stillness. Highly recommended!

Ross and Isabel are delightful and entertaining hosts and we have rarely eaten as well, both at breakfast and in the evening. If you decide to stay, do not risk disappointment by dining elsewhere! The master bedroom is very comfortably furnished and has a really great bathroom. The dining room and lounges are comfortable and the chickens in the garden... More

Great to hear you enjoyed your stay even without the 'swimming pool’ Thanks for clearing up that one, it rather threw me when I read it, guess we share a strange sense of humour, I blame it on an insane father! The AA have just given us an ‘AA Dinner Award’ for our evening meals, which I understand is the... More

I'd highly recommend this B & B. My wife and I stayed for just one night and had a wonderful time. Ross and Isabel were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. They tried to think of every little detail to make our stay pleasant. It was very quiet. Our room was spacious and had a fantastic ensuite bathroom. The... More

Many thanks for your review, it is always a pleasure to hear we have got things right. We have just been ‘vetted’ by an inspector from the AA who has given our evening meals the ‘AA Dinner Award’ apparently the B&B equivalent of an AA Rosette. Now we really do have something to live up to! Hope to see you... More

Thank you for the wonderful restful night's stay and the lovely breakfast in spring 2010. We still reminiscence about our stay and certainly will be back! We enjoyed the leisurely stroll by the canal in the morning. The children enjoyed the chickens and chasing them. Best of all, we were greeted by some lovely english tea on arrival which seemed... So pleased you still have great memories of your stay with us, I seem to remember we were up to our ears in builders, rubble and workmen during your stay so doubly encouraging you have such fond memories. Would love to see you back some day should you be over this side of the ‘pond’ again. More

This was my second visit with my wife to this wonderful B&B and as in our previous visit Ross and Isobel made us extremely welcome. We had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard which was clean, warm and very comfortable. Unfortunately we only stayed for breakfast on our two day visit due to commitments with friends, but what a breakfast... More

Hi John. Many thanks for your kind words; it is always good to learn we are getting things right for our guests. I must also thank you for the news from Pathos, it's a shame Papa Andreas appears to have gone, at least he is close to my father again, they were good friends despite not speaking the same language,... This was my second visit to this superb B&B and my family's fifth. There was, as before, a warm welcome from friendly hosts Ross and Isabel; a very comfortable well-apponted room; and an excellent dinner and breakfast cooked to my order and just as I liked it. Dinner is ordered in advance from an extensive and sophisicated menu available online.... More

I have to travel to this area quite regularly and only chose to stay at the White House recently after my usual B&B was fully booked. However, I had such a lovely stay that the White House is now going to become my B&B of choice in the area (especially as it is actually cheaper and nicer than my usual... More

Many thanks for your review, it is always heartening to learn we have managed to get things right. I fear there appears to be quite a bit of difference between ‘4 star’ rated B&B’s even though standards are supposedly the same. You, our guests, are the best people to review our service and rate our performance so a double thank... More

We chose this b&b because of the huge vege menu and the food did not disappoint, it was amazing! The cheese brulee was a particular highlight, though it is hard to choose. Do order by the day before so ingredients for menu choices can be purchased. We stayed for two nights while on holiday in Shropshire. The family room was... More

Hi Su. So pleased you and Jon enjoyed the vegetarian food, even if there was a bit of a shaky start, my fault for missing three very important words from the confirmation e-mail, I do hope it did not detract too much from the overall experience. The Blue Cheese Brulee is a bit special and appears to be very well... More

Hi Debby. We might have just cracked it if you meant to sign in your review as ‘friend’ because if all our guest left feeling they had been staying with ‘friends’ we would consider we had got things absolutely spot on.
