I visited The Coach House back in February with a group of friends for a countryside reunion. Sean and Lexi were so accommodating they reserved the whole place for our sole use. As most of these reviews already state, the food and hospitality here are fantastic. We opted not only for bed and breakfast but for evening meals too and... More

Just got back from a nights stay at The Coach House. Absolutely fab. We arrived late afternoon and were greetd by Lexi who, after we had settled in brought us tea and homemade banana bread out to the patio, where we were joined by their two lovely labradoodle's. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, with a lovely... More

I don't normally bother with online reviews but The Coach Inn is worth the effort!! We had a wonderful stay at The Coach House in May after finding it on a booking site. The surroundings are beautiful with the Inn set in the rolling Shropshire countryside. It was so peaceful, set in the small village of Norbury but close to... More

We've just spent the weekend at The Coach House and we're already planning our next visit. It's set in a perfect location, surrounded by beautiful, rolling Shropshire hills and is perfectly situated for walkers, both veterans and novices alike. The rooms have a tastefully understated, boutique feel, giving luxury without trying far too hard. Our room was immaculately clean, really... More

We had a couple of days in the Coach House which was perfect. Comfortable and with a very warm welcome, this B&B is ideal. Situated in a quiet hamlet with easy access to all that Shropshire has to offer its highly recommended.

The booking was made by friends who know the owners and so the welcome was very much as an honoured guest in their home, but professional nevertheless. The room was well appointed and had lots of nice touches with coffee, water and high class toiletries. I am a seasoned traveller and When staying in a period property like this I... More

We had a two day stay in one of the deluxe bedrooms overlooking church in very quiet rural village. Lexi and Sean were both very welcoming and the breakfasts and dinner were outstanding. Bedroom was light, airy, well furnished and very comfortable. Great location for walking and cycling, as well as visiting local sights. It was great to end a... More

Beautifully located in rural Shropshire in the village of Norbury, close to the Welsh border, The Coach House B &B is situated just over the road from an historic church with an ancient yew tree so wide you would need a substantial group of people holding hands, to encircle it's trunk. Comfortable and restfully decorated rooms await the Traveller along... More

Really nice place, beautiful countryside and a warm welcome. Very comfortable rooms with good facilities - would have liked a bath rather than just a shower but this did not detract from a very enjoyable stay. Had the set dinner which was well presented and cooked. This place is tucked away but that just adds to its charm. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for such a glowing review. We are over the moon that you enjoyed our rooms and food. If only we had known that you preferred a room with a bath, we could have accommodated you. Room 5, although not en-suite has a private bathroom right opposite with an enormous roll top bath! Hopefully you will have... More

We were made to feel welcome straight away and the hospitality just got better. The food was excellent and the atmosphere just right for our wedding anniversary break. The bedroom was very comfortable indeed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Coach House is a country house bed and breakfast situated in the conservation village of Norbury in the stunning South Shropshire Hills.  Come and find out exactly why they are designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a veritable playground for walkers, cyclists and photographers. The Shropshire Way passes within one mile of Norbury and there are a multitude of walks for all levels available from the front door. The peaceful, bucolic landscapes are perfect for romantic breaks or anybody seeking respite from a busy urban life. We are also the perfect venue for large group or family reunions. Formerly the Sun Inn, our ancient building has been providing accommodation, warmth & hospitality for guests since the 1700’s. Relax in our fully licensed lounge next to our wood burning stove with a good book, a glass of wine or a locally made artisanal beer.We currently have 6 well appointed rooms. 5 are en-suite and 1 has a private bathroom with roll top bath.  All rooms have luxurious beds and bedding to guarantee a great nights sleep. Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities & organic toiletries. We have free on-site car parking and free wi-fi internet access. We love food. We provide a lavish breakfast for all guests and can happily provide lunch and dinner by arrangement or cater for large groups. Our food is home-made and we bake our own sourdough bread daily. We believe in using local, seasonal ingredients and showcasing local artisan producers as much as we can. The Coach House is run by Lexi and Sean Morris. Lexi has been studying a degree in wine science in New Zealand, so she knows a thing or two about grapes. You can be sure that our wine list will give you plenty of reason to smile. Sean is a keen photographer and cook. Inspired by his grandmothers cooking from an early age, he looks to comfort you with rustic, home cooked food. We both look forward to welcoming you to our home & business and will do everything we can to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. ... more   less
