We had a delightful stay at the coach house. The food was top class and catered to our every need. The staff were amazingly helpful with tips on places to visit in the local area which is breath takingly beautiful. You're in for a treat staying at the Coach House!

We had a great time during our weekend at The Coach House. The place is under new management and Sean & Lexi are wonderful hosts - nothing is too much trouble. The food is outstanding - the bacon bread is worth a visit on it's own. Norbury is a great location for anyone wanting to get away from it all... More

They really do exceed all of your expectations at The Coach House. I stayed there whilst travelling on business and it was a truly refreshing alternative to my normal corporate hotel accommodation. Beautifully decorated with luxurious bedding & beds that you don't want to get out of, I awoke not to the sounds of the motorway or doors banging but... More

I wanted a quiet place in the country to meet up with old friends, enjoy some fine food and wines, partake of a little country air and generally unwind; the Coach House provided all this and more. Everything I could want for was provided: food was sumptuous and plentiful, locally sourced produce treated with the care and devotion it deserved... More

We visited the Coach House for the weekend and our stay was fantastic. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Sean and Lexi are amazing hosts- dinner at the B&B should not be missed- the food is outstanding! Ideal for large groups of friends and/or for walkers since the location is surrounded by the stunning Shropshire Hills. Well worth... More

This past weekend at The Coach House was a wonderful way to catch up with old friends in the warmest and most welcoming of places set in the stunning Shropshire hills. All our party had newly decorated rooms with excellent facilities. The communal lounge/bar area made for just about the most relaxing weekend you could hope for. The circular walk... More

Just back from a walking/reunion weekend at the Coach House and had a fabulous time. This is a great place to unwind from the stresses and strains of London life set in rolling countryside. The rooms are delightful with new beds, sumptuous linen/towels and high end toiletries. I was in room 1 which is in the annexe to the main... More

My partner and I took our 18 month old son with us for a weekend at the Coach House and had a surprisingly relaxing time due to the child friendly nature of the place. Our hosts were very accommodating to our needs, and cooked delicious meals which our boy enjoyed as well as us. The room we booked was comfortable,... More

Set in quintessential English Countryside, this lovely old building was perfect for a weekend escape with my partner. The rooms were spacious, clean and well laid out. The beds were extremely comfortable(we understand they were brand new, and clearly no expense had been spared). The place was so peaceful we did not hear a sound through the night. The surrounding... I booked three rooms at The Coach House on behalf of friends of my boss who were coming to visit. It has recently reopened under new ownership and management, and having coordinated quite extensively with the new owners prior to the arrival of my boss' guests, I cannot emphasize their helpfulness enough. My emails and phone-calls were answered promptly and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Coach House is a country house bed and breakfast situated in the conservation village of Norbury in the stunning South Shropshire Hills.  Come and find out exactly why they are designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a veritable playground for walkers, cyclists and photographers. The Shropshire Way passes within one mile of Norbury and there are a multitude of walks for all levels available from the front door. The peaceful, bucolic landscapes are perfect for romantic breaks or anybody seeking respite from a busy urban life. We are also the perfect venue for large group or family reunions. Formerly the Sun Inn, our ancient building has been providing accommodation, warmth & hospitality for guests since the 1700’s. Relax in our fully licensed lounge next to our wood burning stove with a good book, a glass of wine or a locally made artisanal beer.We currently have 6 well appointed rooms. 5 are en-suite and 1 has a private bathroom with roll top bath.  All rooms have luxurious beds and bedding to guarantee a great nights sleep. Rooms are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities & organic toiletries. We have free on-site car parking and free wi-fi internet access. We love food. We provide a lavish breakfast for all guests and can happily provide lunch and dinner by arrangement or cater for large groups. Our food is home-made and we bake our own sourdough bread daily. We believe in using local, seasonal ingredients and showcasing local artisan producers as much as we can. The Coach House is run by Lexi and Sean Morris. Lexi has been studying a degree in wine science in New Zealand, so she knows a thing or two about grapes. You can be sure that our wine list will give you plenty of reason to smile. Sean is a keen photographer and cook. Inspired by his grandmothers cooking from an early age, he looks to comfort you with rustic, home cooked food. We both look forward to welcoming you to our home & business and will do everything we can to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. ... more   less
