We were staying on a Groupon 2 night break. Food was excellent. Our included 3 course dinner was simple but beautifully cooked and presented. My egg at breakfast was perfection, cooked but still soft. Inn and bedroom were very clean. Management and staff were attentive.

Have just spent two nights at this lovely little inn. The room was spotlessly clean but the floor was very creaky - definitely no creeping around at night!! The bathroom had just a bath - I would have preferred a shower - but it was very nice. The food is very good and there is certainly more than enough. They... More

We have just spent two nights at the Talbot Inn and were very impressed . The food is great and served with actual fresh vegetables instead of the usual chips chips chips. We had cauliflower ,brocolli, red cabbage ,new potatoes, carrots and dauphinoise potatoes as well as potato wedges.Breakfasts are large and hearty and served in a lovely breakfast room... More

I arrived here with my Wowcher, and was treated just as well as a regular paying customer. To begin, the Talbot Inn is gorgeous! A quaint little pub/restaurant on the beautiful Much Wenlock High Street. Ignore any negative reviews as some people just like to moan over nothing... We dined in the restaurant, which was busy, but the manager was... More

just returned home after spending two lovely nights at this charming Inn. We had a lovely room at the back of the premises above what looked like a converted coach house and overlooking a court yard. Everything was spotlessly clean and the rooms had everything in that you could possibly need for a break. Nice toiletries, plenty of soft towels... More

We went to the pub for a meal, which was delicious. The steak was a very good size and quite thick, however, it was a little over cooked but still delicious. The locals were a hoot....we watched the opening World Cup game and sat with some 20+ year olds who were very informative about the area and about all the... More

This was the most expensive place we stayed in over a 19 day moving-on tour. It was Poetry festival weekend and nowhere else had any rooms available when I'd tried to book some weeks before. Good sized, pleasant and fairly comfortable first floor room but with appalling creaking floor. What really let it down was the bathroom. There was a... More

we booked a two night stay through a bargain site, and got a good deal including 3 course dinner on the first night. To our surprise it was amazing food, not what you expect when you get a cheap deal. Room and service was good, clean room, and a big room for a change! Full English breakfast, lovely ! We... More

The roast chicken meal today was awful. Chicken had a very strange taste as if it was 'off.' and extremely boney. The roast potatoes were so overcooked and tough they were inedible. Even the roast parsnip was burnt. My friends did mention to the man who served their meal, that their meal wasn't very nice, stating their roast potatoes were... More

well we read all the reviews on this place, have to say some were well exaggerated or at least appeared that way, arrived friday pm afternoon checked in staff very friendly and polite, got the keys to the room and we were both very suprised at the accommodation, a real pleasure to stay. We did notice creaky flooring but then... More
