I spent three nights at this excellent B&B. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. I had a unusual schedule, and the owners were able to make my stay very relaxing and cater to early starts. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Full amenities, drinks and local information were available. The breakfast is worthy of a 5 star... More

Your most kind review is much appreciated. We are glad that we could ensure your stay with us was as comfortable as possible and pleased you enjoyed your breakfasts so much. I am not saying how early these were served as people may get the wrong idea we do it all the time! Tricia was delighted at your comment that... More

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at Old Quarry Cottage B&B, set in a quiet, secluded area, in a beautiful part of Shropshire. It has that country feeling, and yet is close enough to many places of interest. The Coach House Suite is a tastefully appointed self catering cottage with a private entrance. It is obvious from the lovely... More

Thanks so much for your lovely review. It is much appreciated as I do recognise the trouble you take to do it when on your travels. If you are ever this way again, it would be great to see you. Our best wishes to you both, Anthony & Tricia. More

We travelled to Shropshire for two reasons...for my husband to revisit Ironbridge Gorge, and rediscover the Industrial Revolution, and visit the Severn Railway, and for me to enjoy some R and R at Old Quarry Cottage. Both objectives were achieved! We enjoyed a wonderful stay, very comfortable super sized bed, delicious breakfasts and coming back from a busy day, and... More

We booked this B and B as were attending a 60th party in Harley, as local village to this property. We were not disappointed with our stay made to feel most welcome and loved the little touches such as water, tea and coffee is our room and lots of personal items in the bathroom such as lovely soaps, shower caps,... Thanks indeed for your kind review. Much appreciated. You are quite right in that it is very quiet and peaceful round here, yet we are ideally placed to visit all of Shropshire with its many places of interest and historic Market Towns, including the World Heritage site of Ironbridge Gorge. Love to welcome you back for a longer stay to... More

We have just spent 3 nights at the b & b run by Tricia and Tony. We had a lovely room, very tastefully decorated and with all the extras you could possibly need. The breakfast was excellent starting with cereals and fresh fruit followed by the full Shropshire cooked breakfast and toast and homemade marmalade. Delicious! The parking was very... More

Having agreed a booking at this B&B two weeks ago, without any mention of requiring a deposit, but having received a confirmation of booking - I received an email today saying my room had been subsequently relet to the owners daughter! Shame - given many other plans hinged on this booked accommodation. Odd way to run a business?

As in all such matters as this, there is always two sides to the story. I do not intend to go into specific detail but if one was privy to the e-mails I am sure one would understand our position. Suffice to say after our original offer of our own guest room, as our regular B&B rooms were fully booked,... More

We were only passing through the area and sadly only had the one day and a night to spend in Much Wenlock, a beautiful place know as England's hidden town; also hidden but no less beautiful was the Old Quarry cottage B&B which we came across on TripAdvisor and spent one night (truly not long enough) in the Coach House... We were made very welcome and had a charming room in the house. Incredibly well equipped down to shoe cleaning gear and first aid kit, which happily we didn't need!. Added bonus was the lovely evening meal served in the conservatory so we could eat and both look out over the garden. We were sent the menu choices in advance... More

We stayed in the Coach House suite but on a B&B rather than self catering basis. Clean, spacious and well equipped, the accommodation consists of a large bedroom including 2 armchairs and coffee table, bathroom and good sized kitchen. The excellent kitchen facilities meant that we didn't have to go out to dine every night. Breakfast was good, with good... More
