Our second visit to Hopton House and it is still the best B&B we've enjoyed in the UK. Relaxed, peaceful, wonderful breakfast and fabulous hosts. An absolute treat. Shropshire is a hidden gem in England and Hopton House is a gem within a gem.

This was our second visit to Hopton House. Nothing has changed. Its still wonderful. This time we stayed in the Paddock room with its beautiful views, delightful balcony and super comfy bed. Karen has created a fantastic B and B, just perfect in every way, best breakfasts we have had anywhere. We enjoyed evening meals at the Baron of Beef... More

Have just enjoyed another lovely stay with Karen at Hopton House. Karen makes the perfect host and works tirelessly to ensure all her guests have a wonderful stay. The choice and quality of her breakfast is second to none. Karen also includes lots of extras each day so you will not go hungry thro the daytime. Karen is always on... More

Thank you very much for writing a review for us and for coming back to visit us again. I'm sorry the weather wasn't better for you but glad you found things to do to stay dry. The Judges Lodging is fascinating and the Severn Valley Railway makes a good wet weather option too. I hope we can welcome you back... More

My wife and I have stayed twice now in the Paddock room both times, and from the moment you pull up outside it's just like visiting friends. The welcome is great, the style is laid back and as others have said the whole package is just what you would want even on a wet afternoon the whole ambiance is just... More

Thank you for your review and for coming back to stay with us. I'm glad we're getting it right for you and ticking all the right boxes. The Baron is a great pub. We also love The Lion at Leitnwardine next to the river, a great place to watch wildlife and enjoy the sunshine. All the best Karen More

Starting at the gate. On arrival we opened it and drove in. Parked up and then took a deep breath at the amazing view. We were then greeted by Karen, who then showed us to our room. Boy what a room.! The Paddock room looked out across the amazing view that met us on arrival. Too many extras to list,... More

Great accommodation and great food....the basics of a successful B&B. However it's the extras which make Hopton House so unique. We stayed for 3 nights in The Barn which is situated across the yard from the main house, where you take breakfast. We had a huge bed, a sofa placed to watch TV, a silent fridge which was very handy,... More

Thank you for lovely comprehensive review. We do appreciate it that you've taken the time to write one. I'm glad you enjoyed the Barn Room and all of the little goodies we supply. We are very lucky with our clear night skies and no light pollution. It can be quite amazing to see the Milky Way for the first time!... More

Our second time here. We stayed in the Barn, which is extremely convenient for when our dog needs to go out (it opens out onto the garden). This is a huge room, with an equally huge bathroom. Delicious shortbread and lemon drizzle cake provided on arrival, with own stocked fridge. The bed is a) enormous and b) really, really comfortable.... More

Thanks Steve for writing us a review and for coming back to Hopton House. It was a pleasure to see you and your lovely dog again. We do love to welcome repeat guests back. I cannot praise Hopton House Bed & Breakfast highly enough. Karen is a wonderful hostess and nothing was too much trouble, from soya milk both in our room and at breakfast to a novice country walk via Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms, which I heartily recommend. The Granary Room was perfect, hospitality tray superb, breakfast fantastic. It provided us with very... More

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Hopton House. The location is beautiful and we started to relax as soon as we arrived. Thank you for your lovely review of the Granary Room. I'm glad you enjoyed all the little touches including the lemon drizzle cake.
