We stayed in March 2013 for two nights. The rooms were really clean and very comfortable. Great stay, recommended. We were a group of 3 couples and every room was fab. Each every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the cozy dining room. The hosts were pleasant, helpful, warm and lovely people, very welcoming. . We will be back!

We were in Oxford for a wedding, arrived late friday evening but that wasnt a problem. Offered a cup of tea on arrival, shown to our lovely room. Enjoyed a good nights sleep as its such a peaceful location. Great breakfast in a nice dining room. Hope to return with our beagle for a relaxing walking weekend.

My family of 5 stayed here in January 2013. We were given the family suite, which was privately located on its own floor, with 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom. The accommodation was cosy, clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The owners were pleasant and helpful. The property is situated in lovely countryside near Witney, an easy... We first stayed at Gorselands in September 2002. We loved the house, the hosts and staff were very pleasant people who made us feel very welcome. Our room (6) was perfect for our needs, the bathroom clean and comfortable. And every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the cozy dining room. Although Gorselands Hall is located near Oxford the... More

Due to stay here for 3 nights left after 1 because it was so awful. Arrived after a long drive to be greeted by a woman who said "sorry there's nobody here now" she grudgingly let us in after keeping us waiting on doorstep while she took the dog into the garden, (seems she was a friend of the family... Oh dear! What can I say? I am so sorry you had a miserable stay. All I can say in our mitigation is the unfortunate fact that you arrived a full two and a half hours earlier than our earliest checking-in time of 4:30pm. The time between check out in the morning and check-in in the evening is a pretty... More

We stayed here in October having the family room upstairs. Very relaxed atmosphere, good facilities and nice breakfast. Very convenient for the Cotswolds, Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Bicester. We didn't"t use the facility but there is a residents lounge area.

Our first stay at Gorselands Hall having made our choice based on previous reviews. We stayed one night in room 5 in August 2012. This is a quiet little place, tucked away in the lush Oxfordshire countryside but within easy reach of Witney for eating out in the evenings. The room was perfect for our needs. The bedroom and bathroom... More

Hello, thank you for leaving a review on trip advisor. Most people go for the 'full english' breakfast experience. You chose the path less travelled with the home made muesli option, good for you! A sunny day spent exploring the cotswolds with a virtuous breakfast inside you. What could be better?! Glad you enjoyed your stay. More

We are so glad your first experience of England and her hospitality has been a positive one. The fact that you squeezed so much into such a short amount of time shows a true desire to get the very most out of your travels. Well done ! More

We stayed at Gorselands for four nights in June. If we ever return to the area we would certainly stay here. Lisa and/or James were always willing to ask about our 'day' and seemed interested to listen.James' father was also someone who could' hold 'a conversation and was a pleasure to talk with. The children were 'seen' but were very... More

We welcome you to Gorselands Hall – home to three generations of our family. Young and old are equally welcome. Does your family include children or a dog? No problem! Please enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this country home from home.

Whether you are looking for a restful environment in which to have an unhurried holiday; a chance to explore the historic city of Oxford or the tranquil countryside of the Cotswolds; or need a one night stop between business appointments, Gorselands Hall is the B&B for you.

Unwind after your journey with a pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake – either in your room, or in the snug with books to browse and, in winter, a cosy fire.
The rooms are comfortable with drinks making facilities, flat screen TVs, hairdryers and power showers in the en-suite bathrooms.

We don't offer evening meals but we are happy to recommend some excellent local restaurants, all within 10 minutes drive.

In endeavouring to run an excellent B&B, we are mindful of what a wise man once said. 'Treat others as you would like to be treated'. We can't think of a better ambition for a B&B to have. We hope you enjoy your stay. ... more   less
