I stayed here as I was attending a course nearby. Gail & Lisa were very accommodating with my booking and indeed with my late arrival (due to flights). Lisa greeted me and despite the hour offered tea which, although I declined, I gratefully appreciated. I was a bit nervous being on my own away from home but they couldn't have... More

What a fabulous find! Gorgeous place, very friendly and amazing food. Nothing was too much effort, we were on a fitness weekend so they made us amazing muesli for our early morning start. We were also waved off with delicious homemade cake! Totally recommend!

Convenient to local country towns, quiet location. Plenty of parking. Very welcoming and flexible in arrangements. Greeted with refreshments in the lounge on arrival. Garden for doggies. Delicious breakfast in sunny conservatory. Rooms well fitted out and all amenities. And excellent value we thought. Will stay there again...

Thank you Adam, and your dogs in the garden were a source of conversation for the guests eating their breakfast in the Conservatory. It was so lovely to be able to welcome both you and Amanda plus your 2 dogs, and then of course your extended family - always a privilege!! More

My wife and I spent two nights at Gorselands in March and were very happy with our stay. If have read the good reviews then there is really nothing more we can add, except we agree with everything said. There are so many lousy places out there, we are glad that we found this little gem. Wonderful people running a... More

Stayed at Gorselands Hall for a long weekend. On arrival we were invited to tea and cakes in the lounge which was a very pleasant surprise. Our room was a nice size and spotlessly clean. There was a good supply of towels, tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. The breakfasts were good and it was nice to have free Wifi. The owners and staff were... We stayed for three nights in the family unit (comprises one room with two single beds, door into bathroom, then a double room the other side of the bathroom) with our two young children, one nearly 5 and one nearly 3. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable beds, fluffy towels and nice toiletries. We were also delighted to find that there... More

We have just returned from a three night stay at Gorselands hall. The location is ideal for visiting Oxford, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswold villages. The room was very clean with ensuite bathroom, with great views. (If I was being very picky maybe could have been a little bigger)The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much... More

Having stayed at Gorselands Hall prior, my friend and I knew what to expect. Friendly service, great accommodation and good value. We were traveling with my mother and nephew and his daughter. We booked the family room and felt it was quite nice. Very comfortable, albeit a little on the small side. Remembering this was not a 15 story hotel,... More

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2- year old in the "family room". It was great to have the little man sleep in a separate bedroom. The room was clean and well equipped. What we enjoyed most were the excellent location (goal was to visit Oxford), and the friendly service. We'd driven 4 hours to get to Whitney and... More

In over ten years of family travel, I have to say that we had the most disappointing experience at Gorselands Hall. While the owner, Lisa, seems to be kind and personable, the miscommunication reached Fawlty Towers-like proportions, and we spent a very uncomfortable night. We first came across Gorselands via its website, which refers to each room having "comfortable bed(s)",... More
