My mothers always said if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. However she never mentioned anything about writing it down and posting it on trip advisor! I will start on a positive and say the staff were brilliant which must be tough as I can imagine they get a large number of complaints coming their way.... More

Walls are thin so we were able to hear the next door occupants, family with children, talking at 7am, bed was soft so sleep quality based on personal preference was poor. Food in hotel Brasserie was well presented and pleasant however portions are small so if you have a decent appetite you won't leave feeling completely satisfied. Due to the... More

This hotel is for business visitors who want clean tidy rooms with wi-fi flat TV etc,and prompt service, but not necessarily with a smile! Set on a busy road junction and on the edge of Witney, it is not for the holiday visitor who wants a quiet stroll or drink on the patio. In fairness, we attended a lunch-time party... More

Found this hotel online as a place to stay while on a short fishing break with my husband. very welcoming, all staff were friendly & helpful, room was very clean with everything you would need. Food prices were about average and meals were cooked well and nicely presented. Breakfast was very good with a good selection from full English, cereal, continental.... More

We stayed here overnight as we were in the Cotswolds for a wedding. It was a great stay for the night and we had no issues. Reception is not the friendliest. Location: Approximately 25 minutes from the Oxford train station. There is a flat rate for a taxi to get here of £35. Room: We had a cute room on... More

Never will I stay in this hotel again and I strongly urge you to look for alternative accommodation. At £110 per night the hotel is massively overpriced. It feels like a premier inn from the soulless, cramped rooms to the rude, uncaring service. It's only £5 per person to have your breakfast brought to your room, on top of the... More

Stayed A few times during work visits. Defo not a 4 star hotel. No lifts and the rooms very hot during summer with no air con. Beds are comfortable with tv and clean bathroom. Staff are helpful and kind enough. The swimming pool and sauna are filthy with grease and muck floating on the water. Will try to avoid this... More

Less than average with above average prices. Stayed one night. Front desk very pleasant which lulled you into a false hope of better things to come. Room mediocre with a strange musty smell. Clearly suffers from condensation hence the musty mouldy smell as was a condensation machine in room. Clearly skimping cost wise for instance single taps on sinks as... More

We booked here to celebrate our wedding anniversary: 36 years ago we got married in Witney. The location was great for us, just a few minutes from the town and just off the A40. The setting is pleasant, with ample parking so initial impressions were favourable. We'd upgraded to a Connoisseur room as it was a special occasion. Check was... More

Stayed on Sunday evening. Had a wedding to attend at Caswel house, which is an 8 minute taxi journey. We checked in at 2pm, we were on the 1st floor, window facing the roundabout. We had the window open in the afternoon, the road doesn't make as much noise as the other reviews suggest. After we returned to the room... More
