Had our works Christmas Dinner at the Four Pillars hotel. Witney The staff were very welcoming and happy, which is surprising as I would find it depressing to have to serve food that was this inedible. I could have reheated a better quality ready meal at home.Terrible.

I took my mum to Oxford for a birthday weekend away. The hotel was average definitely not a 4*. Had a great weekend but the hotel was just somewhere to stay nothing special. The food we had in the hotel was nice and had a large selection for breakfast however would of preferred it to be cooked to order rather... More

On the outskirts of Witney. Good points: Parking, staff were quite friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good quality. Bad points: Croissants were lacking on one of the days. Internet was quite intermittent. The bathroom wasn't entirely clean on check-in. The walls were on the thinner side - I was kept up by someone snoring on the other side.

The hotel itself is easy to find and the rooms are acceptable but overpriced. Certaintly no better than a premier Inn. The biggest issue with this hotel is the staff - went to pay for room in full at arrival on debit card, told a small amount would be added to the room charge in case I wanted to charge... More

Had an upgrade to Conniseure room (#26) which took a little of the sting out of the v high room price. It was clean, quiet, spacious, well furnished, shower ok (could be better) and good towels. Tv a bit small. Breakfast was good and quick however the bar was soleless and poor beer & bar meal range.. Will use again... More

Initial impressions were good seemed exactly what I needed as on an intensive weekend course and wanted a relaxing evening. Nice spa area. However, there was a Christmas party which went on till 1am with incredibly loud music. Called reception who did relocate us to another room which was quite a bit quieter but still hard to sleep. Then after... More

Why pay Oxford prices when this place is quiet, comfortable and serves fantastic food and drinks for a far lesser price! Stayed for work but we will be using the property ourselves in the future for sure. Breakfast very good and hot, fresh stuff cooked to order too and the gym was small but had most things needed. Bar service... More

We often visit Oxford and the Cotswolds to visit our daughter at uni. The hubby booked this one as it was a special offer 2 nights DBB for £210 for two people for 2 nights. It was a xmas party on both nights. I almost cancelled after reading some of the reviews but I m so glad we didn't. The... More

Nice surroundings but food very average. Soup bland, main meal average, dessert nothing special. Staff very helpful and polite but rushed off feet as very busy. Disco very good and lots of people dancing. Main problem was trying to get to sleep as our room situate above the outside smoking area and taxi collection point. Had to complain at 2.30... More

Room was lovely with very comfy bed, power shower & soft fluffy towels. Staff on reception, bar & restaurant all helpful especially Alex...an absolute gent. Had breakfast & dinner included & really couldn't fault any of it...plentiful & tasty. Used the pool & spa & though small all clean & tidy. Wonderful stay would definitely recommend. Thank you to all... More
