Wow, the room was damp, musty, smelled. The bathroom was dirty, ( soap and hair still in the shower!) I travel for work, and I'm quite used to budget hotels. This was the worst I have ever stayed with. I was attending the Annual Southern Food Symposium, and was looking forward to the trip. The thought of relaxing in the... more

Budget hotel, clean with adequate bed. Bed was both bouncy and hard when I tried to sleep on my side, quite high too. Window had a slider for night ventilation but even when closed it didn't really cut out much of the noise from the nearby motorway. Sink/ bath drained a bit slowly I didn't look too closely for the... more

Where to start... The bathroom was dirty it needed a good washing with bleach. The shower was at best lukewarm and close to cold. The bed was tiny, a standard double and simply not suitable for two people. The room smelt musty, had no heating and you could hear every movement from the room above. Although it was cheap, the... more

stayed one night after visiting oxford city. as it is located in the service area, finding the place right the first time around is crucial. this is because, if you miss the turnoff, you will need to drive really far to find a u-turn. anyway, got the room for gbp45 per night. booked the room one night before via laterooms.... more

We booked 1 night at Days Inn with Thomas Cook. It was a one night stopover on the drive back from our fortnight in France. We arrived at the hotel at 9.30 and the first thing I saw was a rat running across the doorway. I realise now, it was probably leaving in disgust! We got into our room and... more

Location: This hotel is located in a "Welcome Back Services" Center. Just of the English version of an Interstate Highway 'rest stop'. It has fast food, some facilities and lodging. Plenty of cars, buses and trucks too (this is not a problem, just be aware of it). The location is approximately 10 miles outside of Oxford. A 45 minute bus... more

We booked this place online as it was a good location for Oxford and the Cotswolds and we just wanted somewhere cheap to rest our heads for 3 nights. We arrived and checked in and were given room 5, which is on its own at the end of a corridor. I immediately suspected we'd been given a crappy room because... more

Couldn't ask for a better location. Used the park and ride at Thornhill to get into town. Hotel was quiet, clean and well situated. We will be using it again. more

My wife and I needed a place to stay while visiting our family in Oxford. While searching for hotels we had concerns about noise from traffic with the location between the highways. In the reviews I read the noise was not a problem. I can testify that to be true. We spent 11 nights from Christmas Day 2008 into the... more
